Meet our Dog of the Day: Dash! 🐾

Dash came in yesterday for an exam and vaccines with Dr. Shields, and this silly guy won over our staff immediately!

Dash’s owners told us that his favorite pastime is playing ball and that he also loves sitting in chairs like a human. We weren’t surprised to hear that—Dash made himself right at home during his appointment and was very interested in taking a seat in our exam room chairs! 😂 🪑

Thanks for hanging out with us and keeping us laughing all day, Dash! We loved having you visit and hope to see you again soon! ❤️🐶

Meet our Dog of the Day: Ike! 🐾

This handsome guy came in for a dental procedure with Dr. Walker and quickly stole the hearts of our entire staff! Ike was sweet, well-behaved, and more than happy to soak up all the pets and attention he could get. ❤️

We later learned that Ike was adopted right off the Appalachian Trail—and then, just to make his story even better, he and his brand-new dad went on to finish the trail together, all the way from Tennessee to Maine! 🥾🏔️🐶

We’re so glad we got the chance to meet this adventurous pup and hear a little bit of his incredible story. We hope Ike is resting comfortably and doing well at home!

Meet our Dog of the Day: Paisley! 🐾

Paisley made her way to the East Coast after spending 2.5 years in the Caribbean with our very own Dr. Lyons! 🌴 She’s already been a hit with everyone she’s met at Newport Animal Hospital, and we can certainly see why her mom loves her so much!

Paisley is an outdoorsy girl who loves hiking, swimming, and spending time with both her people and her dog friends. She’s also very invested in Dr. Lyons’ vegetable garden and makes it a priority to check on things every morning. We have a feeling she takes her garden supervision duties very seriously! 🥕🌱

Meet our Dog of the Day: Bee! 🐾 🐝

Bee came in for a dental procedure with Dr. Lyons, and it didn’t take long for her to win over our entire staff. She is quite possibly one of the cutest girls we’ve ever seen!

She spent the day snuggling with our team, rolling over for belly rubs, and soaking up every bit of attention she could get. Her family says she’s just as much of a love bug at home—and perhaps the most important fun fact of all: Bee is a huge Dunkin’ Donuts fan! 🍩

Bee, you absolutely made our day. We hope you’re resting comfortably at home and getting lots of love (and maybe even a celebratory Dunkin’ treat)! 💕

Exciting news here at NAH! We have a new DVM on our amazing team of doctors!

Dr. Lyons, originally from Connecticut, attended the University of New York at Plattsburgh focusing on Biomedical Science. She then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2026 after completing her clinical year at North Carolina State University. Dr. Lyons joined the NAH team last month and is already doing wonderful things for the patients in our community! Her knowledge and dedication are a welcome addition to our DVM crew, and we all feel she is a perfect fit!

Meet our Dog of the Day: Mika! 🐾

Mika visited us for a dental procedure with Dr. Pasierb, and this goofy girl kept our staff smiling and laughing all day long!

Mika’s family adopted her from a dog fighting rescue, and she’s become the sweetest success story. While she’s a calm, gentle soul most of the time, she definitely has a playful, excitable side too. Her family describes her best as “just a happy girl!” ❤️

Meet our Dog of the Day: Lilah! 🐾

Lilah came in today for a mass removal procedure with Dr. Walker, and she spent the entire visit doing what she does best—wagging her tail and enjoying all the love and attention from our staff (which we were very happy to give)!

Her human grandfather (aka Papa) shared that Lilah loves him the most… but we have a feeling anyone who meets her might end up feeling just as special to her too.

Meet our Dog of the Day: Samantha! 🐾

Samantha came in today for her spay procedure with Dr. Walker, and this tiny 3.8-pound puppy spent the entire day being cuddled and doted on by our staff.

According to her parents, Samantha loves giving high fives and playing with her favorite toy, Lamby— and after spending the day with her, we can see why she has everyone wrapped around her little paw!

This sweet girl quickly became a staff favorite. 💙

We loved getting to spend the day with you, Samantha! We hope you’re feeling great, recovering well, and getting plenty of extra spoiling at home. ✨🐾

Meet our Dog of the Day: Bo! 🐾🌟

Bo came in to see Dr. Fain for his first heartworm treatment, and it didn’t take long for this sweet hound boy to win over everyone he met.

According to his owners, Bo loves playing with his ball and is always smiling— and after spending the day with him, we can definitely see why. His happy personality kept our staff smiling right along with him. 💙

Bo’s family also pointed out something extra special about him: he wears his heart on his sleeve… literally! ❤️ If you look closely, you’ll spot a heart-shaped marking on his leg that is just as adorable as he is.
