💗 YOU HEARD OUR PLEA… AND WE ARE SO GRATEFUL! 💗

When we reached out and asked for help, we honestly didn’t know what to expect. But once again, our amazing Rainbow Bridge Hospice Rescue family showed up for our dogs. 🐾❤️ We have raised almost $2,000 toward our $5,000 goal! 🙏😭Lola and Cookie will be taken care of.

THANK YOU. Thank you to everyone who donated, shared our post, sent a message, or simply kept our hospice babies in your thoughts. Every single dollar makes a difference, and we are incredibly grateful for your kindness and support.

But we still have $3,000 to go, and our dogs are counting on us. 💔

🐾 Prissy desperately needs her allergy shot to keep her comfortable and feeling her best.

🐾 Rosie, our sweet blind girl, needs to be spayed and may also need surgery to remove her remaining eye if it continues to cause her problems.

🐾 Lucy’s health is deteriorating, and she needs veterinary care and monitoring as we try to determine how best to keep her comfortable and happy.

At Rainbow Bridge Hospice Rescue, we promise our dogs that they will receive the care, comfort, love and dignity they deserve for however long they have. We are $3,000 away from our $5,000 goal. 🐾💔 COOKIE NEEDS OUR HELP 💔🐾

We have to ask for help again because right now, we simply don't have the funds to cover everything our dogs need.

Sweet Cookie’s kidneys are starting to fail, and keeping her healthy and comfortable requires regular, expensive blood tests. She is due for another one, and unfortunately, we don't have the money to pay for it right now. 💔

And then we had a completely unexpected expense. One of the dogs we adopted out last year(Lola) came to us from a shelter and we were told she had been spayed. The owner recently discovered she was never spayed. It is our responsibility to make it right, and we absolutely will honor that commitment—but once again, we don't have the funds.

We never want finances to determine whether a dog gets the care they need. But the reality is, we can't do this without you. 🙏 If you can donate $5, $10, $20—or whatever you can spare—it will help us get Cookie's bloodwork done and cover the unexpected spay.

🐾❤️ SOME THINGS ARE JUST MEANT TO BE… ❤️🐾

Please join us in welcoming Susan to the Rainbow Bridge Hospice Rescue family as a foster mom—and welcoming Bucky to his new foster home! 🏡🐶

We truly believe this one was meant to happen. Just LOOK at Bucky! 😍 This is a dog who normally doesn’t like to be touched or handled, and yet here he is… smiling in Susan’s arms! 🥹❤️

Bucky is one of those dogs who can be incredibly difficult to place. Just like Rosie, Lucy, and Elroy, he’s not the easy, carefree dog that everyone is looking for. Some don't like to be touched. Some are fearful. And some have medical issues that make people hesitant to take on the expense and responsibility.

We will ALWAYS keep these dogs at Rainbow Bridge if that's what they need. But the truth is, they do so much better in a loving home. ❤️

Thankfully, Bucky and Rosie are now in fantastic foster homes where they can relax, feel safe, and experience the love and security they deserve. But we need more foster homes. There are more dogs waiting for that chance.

Rainbow Bridge Hospice Rescue has LESS THAN $1,000 in the bank, and we desperately need to replenish our funds.

Thankfully, a generous sponsor is covering 100% of the costs for the dogs we recently took in, but our other senior and hospice dogs still need medications, vet care, food, and ongoing support. ❤️

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Oscar has been ADOPTED by William Edwards! 🎉🐶Oscar is headed to his wonderful new home on William’s farm in Roanoke Rapids, where he will have quite the crew of new friends—including cats, chickens, ducks, and FIVE peacocks! 🐱🐔🦆🦚🦚🦚🦚🦚

William recently suffered the heartbreaking loss of his beloved dog, and he simply couldn’t imagine his home without a dog in it. ❤️ When Oscar came along, it just felt right. We couldn’t be happier that these two found each other.

Congratulations, Oscar and William! We wish you both a lifetime of happiness together. 🐾❤️

🐾❤️ MEET TORREY — 18 YEARS YOUNG & PERFECT JUST THE WAY SHE IS! ❤️🐾

Our sweet little Torrey is an 18-year-old Papillon who has a very important message for anyone thinking about adopting a senior dog: She loves you… she just prefers to love you from a comfortable distance. 😂❤️

Torrey is blind, has no teeth, and she’s not a fan of being picked up, held, or fussed over. In fact, if you try to turn her into a cuddly lap dog, she’ll probably let you know that you have crossed a boundary! 😂 Torrey would much rather sleep peacefully on the floor, knowing her people are nearby. She doesn’t need to be carried around or constantly entertained. She simply wants a quiet, warm, loving home where she can feel safe and secure.

🏡 Torrey is looking for:
❤️ A calm, loving home
❤️ Someone who respects her boundaries
❤️ No young children
❤️ A family who understands that senior dogs sometimes show love in their own special ways
❤️ A soft place to sleep and someone who will let her be Torrey

Rosie Has a Foster Home! 💕🐾

We have some wonderful news to share! Our sweet Rosie, an 11-year-old blind Yorkie/Silkie mix, has found a foster home with Debbie and Reggie! 🥰And it looks like Rosie has decided she has always belonged there! She has fit right in with their other pups, Mister, Rain, and Joy, and is settling into her new surroundings beautifully. ❤️🐶🐶🐶🐶

Foster families like Debbie and Reggie are the reason we can say YES to senior and special-needs dogs who desperately need a safe place to land. They open their homes and hearts and give these dogs the chance to feel loved and secure.

Sonny is a handsome 10-year-old long-haired Chihuahua who came to Rainbow Bridge Hospice Rescue as a stray from Davidson County. Despite whatever adventures he may have been through, this sweet senior boy is ready for a fresh start! ❤️🐾Sonny is up to date on his vaccinations, and his neuter is scheduled for Friday. Now we need your help to make sure Sonny gets the care he needs and can start his next chapter.

❤️🐾 Meet Elroy — The Sweetest Dog You Will Ever Meet 🐾❤️

Dogs like Elroy are exactly why we got into the hospice rescue business. 💔❤️

This incredibly sweet 10-year-old, 18-pound yorkie mix was found as a stray, blind and missing much of his beautiful hair. Yet somehow, after everything he has been through, Elroy has nothing but love to give.

He is the ultimate snugglebug. He just wants to be close to his people, feel safe, and soak up all the love he can get. 🥹❤️

Elroy is also diabetic and requires two insulin injections every single day. His medical care is expensive, but how could we possibly say no to this incredibly precious love bug? He deserves to spend his golden years knowing what it feels like to be safe, loved, and cared for.

😂🚨 BREAKING NEWS: PRISSY HAS BEEN RANSOMED! 🚨😂

We want to send a HUGE thank you to Debbie and Reggie Satterfield for stepping up to be respite foster parents for Prissy, a.k.a. Princess Peaches Marshmellow! 👑🍑☁️ Prissy got to enjoy a little vacation at the Satterfield Resort while her regular foster mom had a chance to take a vacation. ❤️ But when it was time for her foster to come pick her up, Debbie and Reggie apparently refused to release the hostage. Their ransom demand?

💰 $1 BILLION IN BITCOIN. 💰

Negotiations are ongoing. 😂

Thankfully, Prissy was eventually returned safely, although we're pretty sure Debbie and Reggie may have been hoping to keep their little princess forever!

Seriously, we cannot thank the Satterfields enough. Respite fosters are such an important part of rescue. They give our amazing regular fosters the opportunity to take a break, travel, handle family obligations, or simply have a little time to recharge without worrying about their foster babies.

It takes a village to care for these senior and hospice dogs, and Debbie and Reggie are exactly the kind of village we are so incredibly grateful for. ❤️🐾 Thank you both for opening your home—and apparently your cryptocurrency accounts—to Princess Peaches Marshmellow! 😂👑
