Update on the loose dog. This morning ACO received a call the dog was hit by a car and unfortunately the dog was killed. This is a very sad situation that could have been avoided. Again, we truly appreciate the desire of the public to want to help, but we implore everyone when there is an animal in need of care or immediate assistance, PLEASE CALL ANIMAL CONTROL IMMEDIATELY, then WAIT TILL WE ARRIVE. PLEASE DO NOT DO ANYTHING TO TRY TO ASSIST THE ANIMAL IN ANY WAY. NO FOOD, NO WATER, NO TRANSPORTING... PLEASE, JUST MAKE THE CALL AND WAIT TILL WE ARRIVE. We are trained professionals in animal behavior, we have the proper skills, knowledge and equipment needed for any animal situation. So again, please moving forward as a community let's all work together so that this situation does not happen again. CALL ANIMAL CONTROL, AND LEAVE THE ANIMAL ALONE TILL WE ARRIVE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.

This dog was found tied up at Middlefield Federated Church with a note attached to him stating the owner could not care for him. The dog was untied from post and got loose, before ACO was called. PLEASE, CALL ACO IN ANY ANIMAL SITUATION LIKE THIS- FIRST! ✨️ If anyone knows who the owner of this dog is please let us know!!✨️
PLEASE DO NOT CHASE THE DOG- HE IS VERY SKITTISH. PLEASE CALL ACO TO LET US KNOW LOCATION. We appreciate the desire for help, but unfortunately it is not helpful when untrained people try to assist. The dog WAS secure and now the dog is now loose. PLEASE JUST CALL WITH LOCATION, THANK YOU
