🐾 Fun Fact Friday with Fuzzles 🐾
Fuzzles Needs Everyone’s Attention! 🚨
She has an important message for all of her fellow pets (and their humans!)… 😼
World Rabies Day is September 28! 🌎
Rabies is a serious viral disease that affects the nervous system and is almost always fatal once symptoms appear. It spreads primarily through the saliva of an infected animal, most commonly through a bite.
🦇 The good news? Rabies is preventable. Keeping your pet’s rabies vaccination current is one of the most important things you can do to protect your pet, your family, and your community.
You might be thinking, “But my pet is indoor-only!” 🏠🐱
Indoor-only pets should still receive their rabies vaccine. Even pets who never go outside can have unexpected exposure, such as a bat getting into the home. And because rabies is so serious, staying up to date on vaccination provides an important layer of protection if an unexpected exposure occurs.
In the U.S., rabies is most commonly found in wildlife including bats, raccoons, skunks, and foxes. 🦝🦇
💉 A little prevention can make a huge difference.
So this World Rabies Day, take a moment to check your pet’s vaccine status. And if you’re not sure when they’re due, give us a call we’re happy to help!
As for Fuzzles… judging by that face, she has clearly decided this PSA is VERY important. 😂🐾
