Mark Pavao is a true warrior. His battle has not been easy, but his determination, strength, and courage have been nothing short of inspiring. The resilience he has shown throughout his journey is a testament to the kind of person he is.

We at Professional Canine Services have had the honor and privilege of working hand in hand with Mark and his K-9 partner as they became a service dog team. Watching their bond develop has been an incredible experience, and we are proud to have played a small part in that journey.

Over the years, we have continued to stay in touch and build a lasting relationship with Mark. His positive attitude, perseverance, and unwavering spirit continue to inspire everyone who has the privilege of knowing him.

Mark, thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. We wish you and your K-9 partner many years of health, happiness, and continued success together.

Former firefighter paramedic Mark Pavao built his career on helping others, but complex cardiac issues forced him into medical leave and left him feeling as though he had lost his identity. Mark became the first patient in southeastern Massachusetts to undergo renal denervation at Saint Anne’s Hospital, a minimally invasive procedure designed to help control high blood pressure. Now, he has reclaimed that identity and is preparing to begin a new job at Saint Anne’s Hospital, the same place where he received a groundbreaking procedure that helped him regain his health.

We at PCS would like to congratulate Lt. John Chamberlin of the Foxborough Police Department on his well-earned retirement.

John has been a great friend of ours for more than 25 years. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated unwavering dedication, compassion, and a true commitment to serving both the profession and the community. He represents what many would call “old school” public safety at its finest—address the problem, solve it, and move forward with integrity.

For John, policing has never been just about handcuffs; it’s been about earning respect, building trust, and creating lasting relationships within the community. While enforcement is sometimes necessary because of the choices individuals make, John always led with fairness, compassion, and respect.

He has helped everyone in need, regardless of race or gender, treating each person with the same care and dignity he would show a member of his own family. That speaks volumes about the size of his heart and his dedication to the job and the people he served.

Enjoy your retirement, my friend. Your K-9 partners are still with you every day, watching over you.
