"Mama Rutabaga was very pregnant when I started fostering her. We all expected kittens any day but she didn’t give birth for two weeks! In that time, she got to know me, I got to know her and we began trusting each other💕

When she delivered her five babies (all healthy and adorable), she allowed me to touch and hold them immediately; helping her over the next few days and has continued to do so💗

Rutabaga has been a wonderful mama! I visited throughout the day and she would cuddle with me and chirp for head scratches while always keeping an eye on her babies to make sure it’s not feeding time again!

I have found she’s put up with our dog but he’s a big guy, about 65 pounds, so it might be best that her potential adopter has either a small dog or have a “dog less” home.

Rutabaga is beautiful, affectionate and will make a wonderful addition to any home. Spend a little time with her and you’ll see what I mean. She’s definitely a special one💕💕" Rutabaga’s foster mom.

She is now back at MHS and is available for adoption! Rutabaga is a little over one year old and is spayed. Come meet her💕💗💕

Veronica is such a smart lil' girl! She already knows how to sit and make eye contact. She is learning how to lie down, and she is so willing to work for praise and treats! She is such a young pup to know all she knows already—this gal can learn anything you want to teach her! ⭐

As far as other dog friends go, Veronica would love a home with a fursibling to keep showing her the ropes. In her foster home, she lives with a couple of other dog friends! We recommend training classes and other socialization opportunities to ensure Veronica grows into a well-socialized adult, especially if she is adopted into a home without another dog friend to learn from🐾

We are not sure of Veronica's breeds, but we could see her being a pup who would love to accompany her adopters on daily walkies, enrichment outings, car rides and any other adventure. She could use a bit of confidence-building but has an awesome foundation to build upon. She'll be the best addition to a very lucky family💗💗

We bet you wouldn't guess that this scruffy guy is only 24 pounds! Finn has the fuzziest fur and his lil' prancy-prance walk! 🤎🐾🤎🐾🤎

Ohh, MHS followers, you need to come meet him so you can see him walk! Finn prances and almost glides through the air when he struts his stuff on walkies. We are so obsessed with him!

Like the distinguished, dapper gentleman that he is, Finn knows how to sit politely. He loves treats and has very nice good-boy manners. He greets new people calmly and will introduce himself at his own pace.

We've had Finn around other shelter dogs and so far he has done well! The dogs he has met have been calm like he is so we still need to observe him around high-energy dog friends. Finn's happiest zone seems to be a zen-like zone so older kiddos, maybe 12ish, would be best for him. We'll let you know how he feels about cats soon!

Finn is around two years old and he is neutered. If you're looking for a loyal, smart, unique-looking companion, please come meet Finn🐾🤎🐾

🩵🩵Bailey and Mr. Buttons🩵🩵 are about twelve years young, weigh about 14 pounds each, are neutered and are beyond lovable good boys. They've lived together their entire lives and we'd love to allow them the opportunity to continue doing so.

"Bailey and Mr. Buttons are the best furbrothers! Mr. Buttons is super friendly and doesn’t take long at all to give cuddles. Bailey might take a little longer to feel comfortable in his new home but with some patience he will be the best chatterbox and he loves affection like Mr. Buttons does! He wants to sit and cuddle so much that he will talk to you and make you follow him to where he wants to sit and cuddle. Once you are at the couch or chair he will jump up and wait for you to join him. They need someone who can spend time with them in a quiet home and they will be the best companions!" -The boys' previous foster mom.

We wish you all would just stop by MHS to meet Sandy because there is no way to describe all of her little personality quirks😅🥹 This gal is a riot! But if you must know...

Sandy is our big, squishy cutie. She weighs about 14 pounds (would love to lose a few pounds at a healthy pace). She makes the cutest trills and chirps and meows when she watches the cat TV. She moves so quickly and loves to play🐾

And then we should talk about her face. Ohhh, Sandy's little face. She has those round eyes that look mesmerizing, curious, and adorable all at the same time🥹

In her previous home, she lived around other cats and dogs and enjoyed their company! We would like to observe her around other shelter kitties and we can let you know how she reacts. We consistently see all of our staff and volunteers spending time with Sandy. She's irresistible. She is about seven years old and is spayed. There is so much more about Sandy that we can't even relay—just come meet her🧡🧡🧡
