🐎✨ A Day Well Spent

Yesterday's clinic was a reminder that progress isn't always measured in ribbons or scores.

Sometimes it's a better transition.
A clearer aid.
A horse that understands just a little more.

Those small moments add up to something special.

✨ A pretty special first impression from Ripley ✨

Ripley is a new arrival and not even on our website yet, but he gave us a glimpse of who he is today.

We had someone sign up for the clinic who we didn’t realize had never ridden before. She ended up riding Ripley, and he was an absolute saint. As she worked through the basics and figured things out, he stayed patient, kind, and incredibly understanding.

What impressed us most was that whenever she became unbalanced or unsure, he simply stopped and waited for her. No rushing, no frustration, just a young horse trying to take care of his rider.

For a 3-year-old, that’s a pretty remarkable quality.

We’re excited to continue getting to know this handsome Azteca gelding. 💛

✨ Tulip – Second Level Test 2 ✨

Alyssa and Tulip’s Second Level Test 2 from today’s schooling show.

What we love most about Tulip is how she continues to step up to new challenges with such a willing attitude. She is naturally responsive, light in the bridle, and genuinely enjoys the work, which makes developing her through the levels a lot of fun.

This test earned a 62.8% and first place, but more importantly, Tulip stayed relaxed, confident, and focused in a new environment. Every outing gives her a little more experience and a little more strength, and it’s exciting to see her continue to grow.

We’re very proud of this mare and all the progress she’s making. 💙

Reins of Life - schooling show ✨

Alyssa took Tulip to a schooling show today and came home with two blue ribbons:

🥇 First Level Test 2 – 64.7%🥇 Second Level Test 2 – 62.8%

What made us happiest wasn't the ribbons, though. Tulip handled the entire experience with confidence and ease. New environment, new sights, new horses—and she just quietly went to work.

She's continuing to gain strength and balance as she develops through the levels, and it's been rewarding to watch her mature into such a confident, rideable partner. We're incredibly proud of both of them and excited about where Tulip's journey will lead next. 💙
