While celebrating Mother's Day, be sure to keep your feline friends safe! Many flowers commonly found in flower bouquets are toxic to cats. If you bring flowers into your home, be sure to keep them far out of reach of your pets. If you believe your cat has ingested any part of a true lily, please seek immediate care at the UF Small Animal Hospital or Community Care Veterinary Specialists. As Easter approaches, we want to discourage folks from purchasing live animals as gifts for young children. Today, rabbits are the 3rd most common animals in shelters after dogs and cats. As a rabbit-savvy vet, we encourage you to check out the Gainesville Rabbit Rescue's spayed/neutered rabbits if you're thinking about adding one into your family.
