Rickie's Parrot Rescue and Sanctuary of South Florida Located in the state of Florida. We are a 501c3 rescue. Your loved one will receive only the best care. We are here to help. We do not judge. No intake fees.

We know that life can throw us unexpected curveballs. Low adoption fees. We service the state of Florida and beyond. Rickie’s Parrot and Exotic Rescue and Sanctuary, Inc., (“RPER”) takes in parrots and exotic animals that many other rescues turn away. We specialize in the special needs, sick, neglected and abused. RPER welcomes these babies knowing that they come with large medical bills as well

as physical and emotional damage. RPER provides medical care and works to gain the trust of these babies so that they can be placed into good, loving homes. We also take in those that simply need to be rehomed for personal reasons. We work hard to ensure that the perfect home is found for each one. Those that are deemed not adoptable, remain with us for the rest of their lives. We don’t judge. Life happens. Circumstances change and we understand that. We also work hard educating the public in the care and responsibilities of owning a bird or other exotic animal. If you find a bird and are unsure of what to do, please feel free to contact us. If you would like to keep him./her until the owners are found, we will give you instructions as to how to take care of that bird as well as where to post to find it's owners. If you are unable to care for it, we will take it in and search for it's owners. Please keep in mind, that birds are much list dogs and cats as far as pets...their owners miss them and look for them. Rickie's has medical bills as well as daily bills for taking care of these babies. We can't do it without your help. So, please...if you can see it in your heart...donate..help us to continue helping these babies. Thank you!

Thx for the orders everyone!!! You know how to make an old lady happy! Someone made me realize I had forgotten a few popular species so I’ve been adding more designs and products and will definitely be adding the designs to different products! We have the cage for the LSC…your orders will not only help the birds at the rescue but will also help to put toys in the cage for that baby! The cage will be given to the person that buys that baby as an extra incentive to find him a home!!! Please share the shop with your birdie friends! After the past few days with Sheldon (my Great Dane…he hurt his toe) I’m reminded how important it is to have this in the house. I have it for the birds after it was recommended by an avian vet. This is Sparky. He loves nothing more than a foraging box!!!! He loves playing on the bottom of the cage. He has 2 hanging toys too but he completely ignores them. So..he has his foraging boxes and other floor toys. Sparky is a Patagonian conure that started plucking when his daddy died. Even now…he will let a few grow in…and then a few days later they are gone! Application was approved for Sparky some time ago…just trying to work out a place to meet with mom and dad. We are on different ends of Florida.

I did use AI to focus the pic. LOL I couldn’t get him to stop moving.
