We can’t believe we’re still asking for help for Wilbur. 💔
Wilbur has been waiting far too long, and the reality is that continued home boarding is simply not financially sustainable for our rescue. But we also know what South Florida looks like right now—rescues and shelters are overflowing with large dogs, foster homes are incredibly difficult to find, and somehow this sweet boy keeps getting overlooked.
So we’re trying something different.
💗 Coco & Tubbs is offering a PAID FOSTER POSITION for Wilbur.
Think of it as a very unconventional job with an extremely handsome coworker. 😂 Your responsibilities include providing a stable home, belly pats, Netflix companionship, long walks, and reminding Wilbur regularly that he is, in fact, a very good boy.
Wilbur is the ultimate Netflix couch potato who also loves getting out for a nice long walk. He has some specific needs, but nothing that an experienced, committed dog person can’t handle—and his eventual adopter will receive training at no cost.
What we cannot understand is why there has been virtually no interest in him. He deserves his person just as much as the little Frenchies everyone lines up for.
Until that person finds him, we need somewhere for him to land.
And even if Wilbur isn’t the dog you can foster, PLEASE SHARE HIM. Share him with the big-dog person in your life. Share him with someone who has a quiet home. Share him in your neighborhood group. One share can put him in front of the person we haven’t been able to reach.
We are pleading with South Florida to step up for fostering in general. Rescue cannot function without foster homes. For Wilbur, we’re willing to pay for that commitment because right now, that is what he needs.
