Sometimes people help me before I even get a chance to try.

I know they’re trying to make things easier for me. And sometimes I really do need help.

But sometimes I need something different.

I need you to wait.

Let me figure it out. Let me take longer. Let me ask for help when I need it. And yes, let me get it wrong sometimes.

You learned by trying.

So will I.

Sometimes helping me means letting me try.

I didn’t outgrow autism. I grew with it.

People spend a lot of time telling me what I need to work on.

Be more independent.
Be more confident.
Try harder.
Speak up.
Calm down.

And some of that helps.

But I think people forget something.

I’m already a whole person while I’m still learning.

I don’t have to become a better version of myself before I deserve to be respected, included, or loved.

I can grow and still be enough today.

I didn’t outgrow autism. I grew with it.@

Sometimes people think being strong means being loud.

I don’t think so.

Real strength is staying kind when someone else isn’t.

Real strength is trying again after a hard day.

Real strength is asking for help when you need it.

I didn’t outgrow autism. I grew with it.

I’ve learned that confidence isn’t something you wait for.

It shows up after you try.

Sometimes I still feel nervous.

Sometimes I still need encouragement.

But every time I do something I didn’t think I could do, I become a little stronger.

That’s how confidence is built.

I didn’t outgrow autism. I grew with it.

ā€œConfidence is built, not given.ā€

People often think confident people aren’t afraid.

I don’t think that’s true.

I think confidence comes from doing something even when you’re unsure.

Every new experience teaches me that I’m capable of more than I believed yesterday.

Confidence doesn’t arrive first.

It grows with every step we take.

When was the last time you surprised yourself by doing something you didn’t think you could do?

I’ve learned that independence doesn’t begin with big moments.

It begins with small decisions.

Choosing what to wear.

Speaking up.

Trying something new.

Doing one more thing for myself than I did yesterday.

That’s how independence grows.

I didn’t outgrow autism. I grew with it.

ā€œIndependence starts with one small decision."

When people hear the word independence, they often imagine something huge.

I don’t.

I think about all the little choices that add up over time.

Every decision I make on my own helps me trust myself a little more.

Growing up isn’t one giant leap.

It’s hundreds of small steps.

What’s one small decision that helped you become more independent?

People think adulthood happens all at once.

For me, it happened one new experience at a time.

Learning to make choices.

Learning to speak up.

Learning to try things that used to scare me.

I’m still growing.

Everyone is.

I didn’t outgrow autism. I grew with it.

ā€œGrowing up doesn’t happen all at once.ā€

People often celebrate birthdays as if they are the finish line.

For me, every birthday feels more like the start of another chapter.

I’m still learning who I am, what I can do, and how to become more independent.

Growing up isn’t about becoming someone different.

It’s about becoming more yourself.

What is one thing you’re still learning, no matter your age?

Happy Friday!

I’ve learned that the people who matter don’t ask you to become someone else.

They make room for you to be yourself.

That doesn’t mean they agree with everything you do.

It means they don’t make belonging something you have to earn.

I spent a long time thinking I had to fit in.

Now I know I’d rather belong.

I didn’t outgrow autism. I grew with it.

Have you ever met someone who made you feel like you didn’t have to pretend?

I’ve learned that doing something by myself feels different.

It isn’t always easier.

But every time I do, I trust myself a little more.

That’s how confidence grows.

ā€œConfidence grows one step at a time.ā€

People sometimes think confidence comes first.

For me, it usually comes after I try something that feels a little scary.

Every small success makes the next one a little easier.

That’s how independence is built.

One step.

Then another.

I didn’t outgrow autism. I grew with it.

I’ve learned that not everyone will like me.

That’s okay.

I don’t have to change who I am to make everyone comfortable.

The right people already like the real me.

I didn’t outgrow autism. I grew with it.

Helping the world understand autism, one observation at a time.

For a long time I thought I had to fit in.

Now I think it’s better to belong.

Belonging doesn’t happen because you become someone else.

It happens because you find people who appreciate who you already are.

Have you ever found people who let you be completely yourself?
