My sweet Ariya had emergency surgery this morning to remove a softball size tumor from her belly, late last night it ruptured and we spent the night attempting to slow the bleeding. The mass was a lot more invasive that originally thought which resulted in a large loss of blood and put her borderline anemic and possible blood transfusion candidate, thankfully he was able to successfully control it and now we wait. The mass has been sent for identification. Exactly 2 weeks ago she had a wellness exam and there was nothing, that is why the vet wanted it sent for examination. The mass was very large and made it difficult to put enough skin together to close the wound, because the skin is tight she obviously can’t get up in the truck so now we look for a donor car to get her home. Good times!
