I went today to feed Elvis and his chicks - my egg laying chickens and I had a wonderful new surprise - a colorful parrot or bird. The colorful bird found her way in and we helped her back out. I love these type of surprises.

I just returned from Scotland but it is nice to be home in Miami with my tropical fruit tree farm. I had Mangos for breakfast and just picked Hoa Plantains” for tostones for dinner. Hoa or Hua Moa plantain (also known as the Hawaiian plantain). Originally from Polynesia, it thrives in Florida’s climate and is famous for its plump, rounded shape (resembling a tin can), creamy texture, and slightly orange-pink pulp.
