THIS IS FOR SHARING๐จ๐จ๐จ๐จ๐จ A forever family. ๐พ
He was abandoned on the grounds of the Altamira golf course, owned by Lennar, in Homestead. For days his cries could be heard. We don't know how much he suffered, but we do know he was alone and scared.
My daughter Any and her husband started bringing him food and, with patience and love, they managed to gain his trust. While they contacted the city for help, they discovered the adorable and grateful dog behind all that fear.
On Saturday, October 3rd, they managed to get him into their yard and have him picked up to take him to Miami-Dade Animal Services. Due to their condominium rules and the animals they already have, they can't keep him. My husband and I can't take him in either, even though it breaks our hearts.
We are all heartbroken. Any suffers thinking that Simba might feel abandoned again just when he was starting to trust. We wish we could tell him that his affection was genuine, that we're still thinking of him, and that we're looking for someone who can give him the home he deserves.
Simba needs the next door that opens to be his family's. Someone who will care for him, be patient, and allow him to feel safe again. From what we know of him, we believe he will repay that love many times over.
He's at Miami-Dade Animal Services, registered as SIMBA, number A2821516, and is approximately 3 years old. His record indicates that he's still in the statutory waiting period and may be eligible for the Foster to Adopt program.
If you can give him a home, please contact the shelter using their number. If you can't, please share this post. Perhaps thanks to you, it will reach the person who's waiting for him.
Simba has already dared to trust again. Let's help that trust find a home.
