Hansel and Gretel were found on deadly Krome Avenue, where leaving them behind simply wasn’t an option.

Thankfully, they were rescued, brought to safety, properly vetted, and soon transported to a better place where they could finally begin a new chapter.
Through their darkest moments, these two pups only had each other. And somehow, their story got the ending they deserved: they were adopted together. ❤️

Now, they get to experience all the beautiful things life has to offer-safe, loved, and right by each other’s side.

LET THIS SINK IN.

We are facing a crisis 💔

This is the reality of the pet population at our local shelter — and it doesn’t even capture the hundreds of free-roaming animals throughout Miami-Dade County who are struggling to survive.

These animals didn’t ask to be abandoned. They didn’t choose to be homeless. They are scared, vulnerable, and in desperate need of help.

PLEASE — tell us what we can do.

What resources, programs, fosters, rescues, or community efforts can help us address this crisis before even more animals are lost?

Every single one of these animals deserves a fighting chance 🙏🏻

We cannot look away. We cannot keep treating this as someone else’s problem.

Miami-Dade, we need to come together. Our animals need us. Please help us find solutions.

Bella was labeled a fearful dog who was trying to bite. But put yourself in her place. She was confused, scared, surrounded by strangers in a loud shelter, and being examined by a vet. Fear can make any dog react defensively.

Now, look at Bella outside of that environment. She has been an amazing house guest, is wonderful with other dogs, and loves being around them.

Sometimes a “scary” dog is simply a scared dog who needs a second chance.

We cannot rescue our way out of this crisis 💔

Rescue saves lives, but it cannot solve the root of the problem. We need to address the overwhelming number of dogs entering shelters through spay/neuter, responsible ownership, adoption, and community support. We have to stop the cycle-not just keep trying to catch up.

Dushi was abandoned alongside two other dogs, left to fend for themselves until a Good Samaritan stepped in and brought them all to safety. ❤️

Today, Dushi said goodbye and headed off on transport to New Hampshire, where he’ll have a much better chance at finding the loving forever home he deserves.

His story isn’t over—it’s finally turning a corner.

Safe travels, sweet Dushi. Your forever family is waiting 🐾

💔 Huskies are beautiful, but they are not an easy breed.

They are energetic, intelligent, independent, vocal, stubborn, and notorious escape artists. Too many people fall in love with their looks without understanding their needs. Sadly, many end up abandoned, surrendered, or euthanized in overcrowded shelters.

🐾 Please don’t choose a Husky for their beauty. Choose them because you’re ready to commit to them for life.

If you’re struggling, ask for help. Don’t give up on them. ❤️
