Our investigator documented men force a terrified baby goat’s head underwater, again and again, at this year’s Deopokhari festival — no breath, no mercy.

It was brutal. We were there. We witnessed it. Now let’s end this vile tradition! It’s going to take an army. Are you with us?

This violent event involves the tormenting, torture, and drowning to death of a single virgin female goat. Worshippers create teams and fight to the goat’s death to be the ‘victor’ and appease the gods during the horrific ‘Deopokhari ‘Khokana festival. It is BARBARIC, inhumane, and it must end!!

Khokana’s Deopkhari animal sacrifice festival in Nepal, is one of the most barbaric and primitive ‘religious’ sacrifice events...and it is happening in a matter of days!

Every year, villagers and worshippers prey on one female baby goat and subject it to a warzone of two teams of mean that shove, punch, and compete to drown the baby first.

The reason? It is believed that sacrificing a young goat every year in the pond that a child drowned in will appease the gods and protect the children.

This isn’t religion this is animal cruelty!

Please raise your voice, stand for the unprotected animals of Nepal, and demand that Nepal end the torture of innocent animals being sacrificed for ceremonies such as that for Khokana.
