THE RICH KEEP GETTING RICHER. OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

We have secured a third kitten that was dumped in Auburn Township, in the same location as the previous two we've featured. This pretty gray tiger girl appears to be about 6 months old. She's quite small, and very friendly - so friendly, in fact, that we can't get a clear picture because she wants so much to be pet she won't stand silll.

This kitten does not appear to be pregnant, nor having recently given birth. She'll visit the vet soon to identify any issues that may exist. Kindly send your best energy her way as she settles in.

There are big moments in animal rescue, and then there are small, important moments that can be easily overlooked. Seeing our Deb, who was dumped in Meshoppen when she was a kitten, sleeping so peacefully is one of those moments.

UPDATE

Our two young foundlings have been to the veterinarian, and we are breathing a sigh of relief that neither is pregnant. They received vaccines, and both are negative for leukemia.

These girls are so affectionate and loving, and it confounds us how someone who obviously spent alot of time with them could dump them on a dirt road with no guarantee of their care and safety.

The two are very bonded - likely siblings - and it will be our goal to keep them together. We will update again once they have been spayed and completed their vaccine regimen.

Our handsome boy Brother has had a challenging week. He developed a lump above his nose, and our veterinarian discovered a serious infection. He's contained while we administer treatment, and for a cat that could not be touched for most of his life, he's being the best patient we could ask for. Last night he gave us elevator-up bum lifts, lots of purring, and even a few head butts! Kindly keep him in your hearts as he continues to improve.
