I’m reaching out to ask for love, prayers, shares, and support for a very sweet couple, Bob and Gloria, and their beloved pup, Buddy who’ve been like family to us for almost two years at our local dog park.

Bob and Gloria are in their eighties and living on Social Security. Just last week, they had to travel to home for an unexpected family funeral and placed Buddy in a boarding facility they thought they could trust.

Sadly, after only a day and a half, Buddy became severely lethargic and began having serious complications. He was rushed to a nearby veterinary hospital, where testing showed severe concerns with his liver and kidneys, along with digestive distress and pneumonia in his right lung.

Buddy is currently stable, but he is still hospitalized and fighting hard. Right now, he is relying on a feeding tube and oxygen as the veterinary team continues to monitor and care for him.

As you can imagine, the cost of emergency care is adding up quickly, including intensive care, bloodwork, ultrasounds, X-rays, and continued hospitalization.

Bob and Gloria are such a kind, loving couple, and Buddy means the world to them. Any contribution would help ease the financial burden of his lifesaving care. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this post and keeping Buddy, Bob, and Gloria in your prayers would mean so much.♥️

I did not like how my girl GiGi came home looking from her last grooming appointment. Hair still in the ears, nails not cut or filed, and the groomer in me calls it all out to owners.😂

Thankfully, her mom decided to let me groom her, and of course, add a pop of color, and now, my girl is cuter than ever.

For this visit, we did a # 5 on the body & owner preferred a shorter face so I went ahead and did some blending and shaping from the last groom.

Short doesn’t have to mean just get the dog out the door. You can still customize cuteness that’s unique to what the owner wants. 💜

This past weekend Nina and I had a great time attending Groom Expo West in Pasadena by Barkleigh! We had a great time with Ryan's Pet Supplies talking about all things OPAWZ and about Creative Grooming. Many asked if I plan the looks and the truth is NO. Most times I get Nina on the table and go from there. The pink just made me feel like summer and the cheetah added sass while the black just added bad ass. It’s one of my favorite looks to date! As always, I love seeing the reactions and happiness on people’s faces when they see her. I love answering questions and sharing how to add color within a business to increase sales! We had an amazing weekend and many more to come😉

Senior pups may move a little slower, may have attitudes and maybe not the best coat but grooming them isn’t just about keeping them clean, it’s also about ensuring their comfort.

I take my time with them because they’ve earned that patience.

And the senior clients? They’re some of my favorite conversations. They know their dogs inside and out, they show up early to every appointment, and they always have a story or a memory that reminds me why I love what I do. Sometimes you also may be the best conversation they have.

There’s an interesting kind of trust that comes with age in dogs and people and it’s a privilege to be part of their routine. 🥰

As a groomer and business owner, I can laugh now... but man, some of the things we hear on a regular basis? Wild.

These are the kinds of scenarios that make you blink three times, smile through the pain, and wonder if you’re being punk’d.

So, I’m turning these moments into content because if I’ve lived it, you probably have too.

Because sometimes the truth is funny, and if we don’t laugh, we’ll cry (or scream into a grooming towel)😂.
