📢 Vacation Notice – Fetch the Vet 🐾

Fetch the Vet will be on vacation from June 16th through June 24th.

During this time, we will still be available to existing clients for medication refills and urgent prescription needs whenever possible.

Please note that for approximately 4 days during our trip, I will have little to no cell service, which may result in response times being slower than normal. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we take some much-needed time away.

If you anticipate needing medication refills during this period, we encourage you to reach out before June 18th.

🐾 FETCH THE VET WALK-IN CLINIC 🐾

We will be at Packy’s Pet Supplies this Monday, June 15th, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM for our walk-in clinic!

No appointment necessary—just stop by if your pet is due for vaccinations, needs a wellness exam, or if you have questions about preventative care, flea and tick protection, heartworm prevention, nutrition, or other routine health concerns.

Please remember that walk-in clinics are first come, first served, and are intended for routine wellness care and vaccinations. If your pet is experiencing an illness or emergency, please contact a full-service veterinary clinic.

We may all have our own practices, specialize in different areas, and have our own ways of doing things, but one thing the veterinary community has always shared is camaraderie.

Both Dr. Burkett and I are wishing Dr. Brian Dawson a speedy and complete recovery. He is a tremendous asset to our community, and his presence will certainly be missed while he takes the time he needs to heal.

In the meantime, we will do our best to help support his clients and ensure their pets continue to receive the care they need. Please join us in sending Dr. Dawson our best wishes for a smooth recovery.

🐾 Fleas & Ticks Are Back — And Ticks Are Out in FULL Force 🐾

As the temperatures rise, so do the parasites — and right now, ticks are everywhere. We are already seeing a significant increase in tick exposure in pets across our area, and it only takes one bite to transmit serious diseases like Lyme.

Fleas aren’t far behind either, and once they make their way into your home, they can be incredibly difficult (and frustrating) to eliminate.

What this means for your pet:
• Year-round prevention is no longer optional — it’s essential
• Even indoor pets are at risk
• Early protection is far easier (and cheaper) than treating an infestation or illness

👉 If your pet isn’t currently on flea/tick prevention, now is the time to start.
👉 If they are, make sure you’re staying consistent and using a veterinary-recommended product.
