As flowers bloom, so do risks for our pets, with plenty of opportunity for them to breathe in particles, scratch an eye, poke a paw, or even get snagged by a branch or thorn, all of which could potentially lead to infections.

Infections can be sneaky subtle—If your pet is not acting right and you are not sure what it is, get them checked! Like with most conditions, the sooner we treat an infection, the better your pet will feel.

Today is National Hamburger Day, but your pet doesn’t need the drive-thru version to feel included.

It’s with very mixed emotions that we announce Dr. Dening will be leaving Merrimack Veterinary Hospital effective July 1st after more than 15 years with our team.

Dr. Dening has made an incredible impact on our hospital, patients, clients, and staff throughout the years, and we are so grateful for his dedication and compassion.

While we are certainly sad to see him leave his current role, we are also incredibly excited for his next adventure offering traveling veterinary dentistry services to pets in need.

The good news — this is not goodbye. Dr. Dening will continue working with Merrimack Veterinary Hospital regularly to provide dentistry services for our patients.

Please make sure to stop by before July 1st to wish him well and congratulate him on this exciting new chapter. We are so proud of him and excited to continue working alongside him moving forward.
