We are so excited to officially have her join our crew as we continue to grow and head into this exciting new chapter at Big ‘N Small!

Ali brings more than two years of professional grooming experience, a lifelong passion for animals, and a genuine love for what she does. Having grown up working with dogs and horses, she brings a patient and compassionate approach to the pets in her care.

What stood out to me most was her eagerness to learn, grow, and continue advancing her skills, especially in breed-specific grooming. She fits right in with the culture we’re building here—one centered around education, teamwork, and always striving to do better for the pets in our care.

She also has a special love for sporting and terrier breeds and enjoys working with her English Setter in the field when she’s not grooming. 🐾

And she’s jumping right into the craziness by joining us for Groom Expo in Hershey next month! 🤣🍫✂️

✨ WE HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE! ✨

I am incredibly honored and still a little shocked to share that I have been nominated for Barkleigh Honors "Up & Coming Groomer of the Year" 🥹✂️🏆

When I opened Big ‘N Small, I never imagined where this journey would eventually take me. And somehow, after more than 25 years behind a grooming table, I feel like I'm only getting started...

To be selected as one of just four nominees from competitive groomers across the United States and Canada, and to have my hard work and dedication recognized by the judges in our industry that I've looked up to for decades, is something I am incredibly grateful for and proud of. ❤️

None of this happens in a vacuum, either. I am so thankful for my team at Big ‘N Small Pet Grooming, my mentors, family, friends, clients, fellow groomers, and everyone who has trusted me with their dogs, encouraged me, taught me, cheered me on, and supported me along my journey.

The winner will be chosen at the Barkleigh Honors Awards Ceremony at Groom Expo in Hershey, PA next month.

🐾 Continuing Education = Better Care 🐾

Rosalie and I attended a PetTech Pet CPR & First Aid Class yesterday, and we are proud to share that we are both now trained and certified in Pet CPR and First Aid! ❤️‍🩹🐶🐱

Continuing education is an important part of what we do at Big ‘N Small, and being prepared for an emergency is another way we can provide the safest possible care for the pets entrusted to us.

A huge thank you to Jennifer Batchelder for hosting the class at The Grooming Shop and giving local pet professionals the opportunity to further their education! ❤️

🎉 Please help us give a warm welcome to Lily! 🎉

We're so excited to have her join our team as our newest Grooming Assistant!

Lily has been working in the grooming industry for nearly three years and brings so much creativity, compassion, and enthusiasm with her. She has a genuine love for dogs of all breeds and personalities, and she's passionate about making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors.

When she's not at the salon, Lily enjoys expressing her artistic side by painting, drawing, building Lego flower sets, and even getting creative with fun colors and designs on her own dog, Pickle! 🎨🐶

Lily is also excited to continue growing in the grooming industry and hopes to one day compete in grooming competitions. We're thrilled to be part of that journey and can't wait to watch her continue to learn and thrive.

📣 Salon Closure Notice 📣

Big N Small Pet Grooming will be closed June 16th through June 23rd while we attend a grooming competition and educational seminars in Wilmington, Ohio.

Continuing education is incredibly important to us, and we're excited for the opportunity to learn from some of the industry's best while sharpening our skills and bringing new knowledge back to our clients and their pets.

We will reopen on June 24th and will return all calls, messages, and appointment requests as soon as possible upon our return.
