Ray's spotlight post — Meet Ray 💛☀️

If sunshine were a puppy, it would be this one.

Ray is our little lemon-and-white boy (yellow collar) — born September 14th right here in the sunroom — and he is exactly what he looks like: a ball of sunshine, playing with everyone and everything. Toys? Yes. His brothers and sister? Yes. Your heart? Absolutely.

He's one of three Sunroom Blessings still looking for a family — along with his sister Ruby Rose and his brother Miles.

Excellent documented AKC pedigree • Go-home around November 9th • Transport available

Every litter has one who stops your heart a little different — and in a litter of six, we got just ONE girl. Five brothers... and her.

I keep searching for the right word for her and I keep landing on the same one: *exquisite.* She's perfect in every way, and oh so very sweet. She prances around like the little princess she is — then curls up with her lovey and sleeps like an angel. That's her in these pictures, caught mid-nap. 🩷

Ruby Rose is a tri-color daughter of Little Miss Dolly and Sir Oliver, born September 14th right here in the sunroom. She has an excellent documented AKC pedigree — 20 titled ancestors in four generations — and she's being raised right in the middle of family life, loved on every single day.

She'll have her 6-week vet visit with first shots and microchip, and she'll be ready for her forever family around November 9th. Transport can be arranged.

Three of her brothers have found their families — but Ruby Rose and her brothers Ray and Miles are still looking for theirs. If you've been dreaming of a sweet little girl beagle to spoil absolutely rotten, message the Spear Haven Beagles page. We'd love to talk. 💜

Our sweet Sunroom Blessings are getting ready to spread a little Alabama love all the way to the Sunshine State! ☀️❤️

We are so excited to announce that THREE of our SIX beautiful Beagle babies have officially been spoken for, and ALL THREE are heading to FLORIDA! 🚐🐶

Weigh-in day in the Sunroom! ⚖️🐾

Our Sunroom Blessings are 5 weeks old, and everybody weighed in this morning right around 4 pounds:

💚 Ace — our biggest boy, just over 4 lbs
💛 Ray — 4 lbs
💚 Miles — 4 lbs
🧡 Sunny — 4 lbs
💙 Apollo — 4 lbs
🩷 Ruby Rose — 3 lbs 15.6 oz, our littlest blessing, just a hair shy of 4 lbs!

And we have some happy news to share about Apollo 💙 We've accepted a deposit from a well-qualified buyer — when he goes home, he'll be renamed Cooper! He'll be part of a beautiful Italian family in Florida, and we just know he's going to be so loved.

That makes two of our blessings spoken for — Sunny and Cooper. Four sweet babies are still looking for their families... could one of them be yours? Weekend photo shoot with our new fuzzy blanket, out in the sunshine! ☀️

Puppies at this age are less than cooperative, let me tell you — but we still managed to snap some pictures that capture the cuteness. Just look at these faces!

They absolutely love toys and wrestling each other now. They eat their puppy mush very well — but of course at this age we still need our Momma Little Miss Dolly to nurse us. And we've discovered our voices too! The sunroom is a noisy, happy place these days. 😄

We've had a ridiculous number of applications, but so far only one home has qualified for a special go-home plan — that would be Sunny, and he's headed to Momma Suzanne in Florida. 🧡

I believe this with my whole heart. 🤎

I just know Sophia and Maria are up there in doggy Heaven, supervising everything Todd and I do with beagles. I can picture them looking down and smiling, making sure everyone who's ready for love again gets some.

No dog can ever replace the love of the dogs we've lost. Sophia was our very first beagle — the one who started all of this — and Maria was right there beside her. They'll always have their own special place.

But here's what I've learned: there is room in our hearts for new memories, right beside those special old ones. Every puppy we raise, every family we match with their new best friend — I think Sophia and Maria had a paw in it.

So if you're loving a beagle today, maybe thank the one you loved yesterday. They might just have sent this one to you. 🐾

So much growing in such a short time! 🐶

Look at this journey — from a tiny 1-month-old puppy who fits in your hands, to a gangly 4-month-old full of mischief, to a proud 12-month-old coming into their own, to a full-grown 2-year-old beagle in all their glory.

And the growth isn't just size, either. It's the personality blooming, the nose getting smarter every single day, the way they learn your heart.

We're watching it happen in real time right now — our Sunroom Blessings turn 5 weeks old on Monday, and they change right before our eyes every single day. One morning they're wobbly little squeakers, the next they're wrestling over toys like tiny pros. (Don't blink!)

Which stage is your favorite? For me, there's nothing like the puppy stage... though I'll admit, a full-grown beagle leaning against your leg is pretty hard to beat. 🤎

The Sunroom Blessings

There's something special about watching a litter grow while knowing these babies are almost ready for their next chapter.

Our Sunroom Blessings — **Little Miss Dolly** and **Sir Oliver's** beautiful final litter — turn 5 weeks old on Monday, and we have five sweet puppies still looking for their forever families!

These babies have been thoughtfully raised right here in our home, with an emphasis on sound temperaments and preserving everything that makes a Beagle a Beagle. They carry an exceptional, documented AKC pedigree — **20 titled ancestors within just four generations**, including National Champions and Field Champions (FC). Those titles speak to the smarts, structure, and genetics behind these babies, and they give their future families a wonderful foundation if they ever want to explore AKC events themselves.

They've been socialized from birth with our grandson and our other dogs — they leave here already knowing what love feels like.

Ace, Ray, Ruby Rose, Miles, and Apollo are still waiting for their people. (Sunny already has his family waiting for him in Florida! ☀️)
