3 Things That Make Your Frenchie Very Sad
And although many people might think, “it’s just a dog,” the truth is that dogs experience emotional shifts, too.
Your French Bulldog can get sad when he spends too much time alone.
Because this breed tends to be very attached to its human. He doesn’t understand schedules, work, or commitments. He only knows that you left... and that you aren't there.
He can also become sad when you ignore him.
Sometimes, he doesn’t need anything grand. He just wants to be close by, receive a pet, play for a few minutes, or feel like he’s still a part of your world.
And another thing that can affect him deeply is sudden change.
Moving to a new home, the arrival of another animal, a different routine, fewer walks, less attention, or tension in the house can alter his mood more than you might imagine.
Your Frenchie can’t tell you:
“I feel lonely.”
“I miss playing with you.”
“Something has changed, and I don’t understand what’s going on.”
But he can show you.
By sleeping more.
By eating less.
By seeking you out constantly.
By losing his desire to play.
By looking at you with those eyes that seem to say it all.
It’s not about living with guilt.
It’s about observing him more closely.
Because loving a French Bulldog isn’t just about providing food, water, and a bed.
It’s also about caring for his heart.
Does your Frenchie also get sad when you leave him alone?
