Green Acres Farm Animal Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit animal sanctuary. Our primary focus areas are rehabilitation, training, and providing a forever sanctuary for those who would likely end up in an unfortunate situation if they left the Foundation due to medical or behavioral issues. We strive to use positive reinforcement training methods to help the animals learn necessary husbandry behavio

rs such as medical treatments, as well as to train animals to demonstrate the benefits and effectiveness of the method. We currently house 16 horses, 2 miniature horses, 2 miniature donkeys, 2 small breed cattle, 13 goats, 8 cats and 2 dogs, and as you can imagine this is a lot of work and expense. I never wanted to do this alone, and somehow the universe didn't let that happen ❤️.

Dad and I wanted to build a place where animals could just be, no performance expectations, no "potential", no "earning their keep". Just feeling like enough for just being themselves in as natural a habitat as I can provide.

When I lost Dad in January, Joe was there to hold me up. After years of deciding that relationships weren't worth the effort but he has proven to me that I deserved the same thing I built for the animals here. He is my sanctuary 💜.

Pete was surrendered to us at 3 weeks old after being sold at auction, way too little to be weaned. Now he gets to live out his life doing piggy stuff with his homies 😎🤠
