🌟Meet Essie – Your Future Snuggle Buddy!🌟
Essie has spent the last five weeks in foster care, and wow, has he blossomed! His sweet, gentle personality shines through every day. He’s still a little cautious around loud noises or sudden movements—he might dash away at first—but he quickly returns, looking for reassurance and love.

Just look at him—such a handsome boy! Once Essie feels safe and trusts his humans, he becomes incredibly affectionate. He loves curling up on the couch, snuggling in bed, or resting by your side as you work from home. Essie has the cutest way of asking for attention: if you’ve gone too long without petting him, he’ll gently place his paw on your leg as a polite reminder that it’s petting time.

When no one’s watching, Essie turns into a playful little guy! He enjoys batting around small balls, stuffed toys, and even does late-night zoomies for his own entertainment.

Essie would thrive in a calm, quiet home with adults or older children. He’s perfectly fine being alone during the day, but when you come home, expect him to be ready for snuggles. With time, we believe he’ll become the ultimate lap cat.

Fostering is essentially caring for a pet in your home temporarily until a forever home is found for the pet. Handsome, Sweet, and Ready for a loving home!

Please give a big "woof" to Desmond. He is a six-year-old Pit Bull Terrier that joined his friends at CHS in October of last year from animal control.

He is a true sweetheart who will thrive in any size home, including apartments. Desmond has little experience living with children, so if there are children in the home, it would be best if they are familiar with large-breed dogs.

Desmond would consider sharing his home with another dog, provided there is a proper introduction. He would prefer to live in a cat-free home. He does have his moments of calm and will thrive in a home where he can exercise daily.

He would love nothing more than to snuggle up with you and bring you joy. Visit Desmond in Wilton, Tuesday through Saturday from 12pm to 4:30pm, or learn more online at CThumane.org/Desmond.
