ADOPTED !!!
Not one single inquiry has come in for Kiki yet...We can't believe it! Kiki sounds amazing. Will you please hit your share buttons for Kiki today? She really needs to find an adoptive home ASAP! Thank you Friends. 🙏
Beautiful Kiki is an 8.5 year old Catahoula mix. This brindle girl weighs 70 pounds. Kiki is described as "sweet, loving, and eager to please".
Kiki has lived with a small dog and done very well at doggy daycare. She was a favorite at her doggy daycare and considers herself the "official greeter" at her local dog park. Kiki has lived with cats and has loved them! Of course, we'd only suggest you adopt her if your cat was dog-loving as well! Because Kiki is a big, strong girl, she'd do best with kind older children whom she can't easily knock down (accidentally).
When her humans leave the house, Kiki prefers they leave the TV on with the dog channel or a calming YouTube channel on. She is accustomed to the company of her small dog friend, so having another friendly canine companion to hang out and learn the ropes in her new home could be very beneficial. Kiki can manage a few hours between potty breaks when she needs to.
We are told that Kiki's eyesight has always been just a little compromised, assuming this is from her breeding. Her eyes are beautiful, but they give her trouble when she plays with a small ball. Give her a larger ball, and she doesn't have any issue with it. Like many dogs, Kiki can have seasonal allergies. She does exhibit signs of arthritis. She can slowly climb stairs at this time. It sounds as though she could use something to help with her joint health. Kiki's adopter should be willing and able to afford regular veterinary care and good-quality dog food.
Kiki enjoys a walk each day. She is a big, strong girl who can pull on leash though she has had training. One should be able to manage her size and strength. Because she is so eager to please, perhaps time with more training could be both enjoyable and rewarding to her and her new humans? Kiki loves attention and training time can be a wonderful way to bond with a dog.
A home with a fenced yard to play in would make Kiki very happy. However, she has lived in an apartment and done fine with a fenced patio to go out into. Kiki is adaptable! She will bark when someone comes to the door or occasionally when she sees another dog from her patio, but we are told she is a good girl who stops when she is told to stop.
Kiki cuddles up on the couch when it's time for bed but she also likes to cuddle next to her person on the couch to watch TV. She is an affectionate girl who sounds like so much FUN!
Kiki sounds like a dog who is going to make a wonderful addition to her new home. She needs to find that home very soon.
Kiki is located in Seattle, WA. For contact information please email: [email protected]
This is not an Old Dog Haven dog. Old Dog Haven has not assessed this dog for medical issues and will not be responsible for medical care after adoption. We urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
