This weekend (October 10-11) we're offering FREE walk-in nail trims from noon until 6 PM! This is a great opportunity to get those talons tidied up and maybe pick up a few of our made-in-house toys or muffin mix in the process.

Well, our first World Parrot Expo is officially in the books!

We had an absolute blast spending the weekend at Emerald Downs. We got to meet so many wonderful people, reconnect with old friends, discover some seriously cool new products and toys, and network with other parrot shops, toy makers, vendors, and bird fanatics.

We also managed to sneak away from our booth long enough to catch some fantastic talks, see some gorgeous rare parrots (hellooooooo Cuban Amazon, hawkhead parrot, bronze winged pionus, and mealy Amazon!), and soak up a lot of knowledge. There's nothing quite like spending a whole weekend surrounded by people who are just as obsessed with parrots as we are!

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who stopped by our booth, said hello, checked out our toys and food, stocked up on goodies, or just swung by to chat. We loved meeting you! And of course a gigantic thank-you to the Expo organizers, exhibitors, speakers, and volunteers who made the weekend such a fun experience.

We're still exhausted, our brains are still somewhere back at Emerald Downs, and we're still processing everything we saw and learned. Thank you for a fantastic World Parrot Expo, everyone! We can't wait to do it again! 🦜

We'll be CLOSED this weekend!

For the first time ever, we're flapping off to the World Parrot Expo, where we'll be running a big booth! The store will be closed, but you can find us at Booths 10 and 15 on the third floor of Emerald Downs in Auburn. We'll have our usual assortment of parrot goodies: toys made by us, bean mix, birdie bread mix, stickers, and more.

Check out the event poster for all the details, and come say hello to us bird nerds at the booth!

We'll be back and ready to serve our feathered overlords (let's be real, we all know who's ACTUALLY in charge) after the Expo. Thanks for understanding while we take our parrot chaos on the road!

It's been an ekkie kind of year! Meet Albus, a young male eclectus. He's the fourth eclectus we've had this year.

Albus is very curious and, like most eclectuses, is a little professor-type. He spends so much time thinking about (and sometimes overthinking) things that he can give the impression that he's not quite sure what's going on. In reality, he's just busy processing it all!

His current favorite toy is one made of mahogany pods and vegetable-tanned leather, made in-house by our staff. Apparently this one has passed the all-important Albus Inspection.

Albus and his cagemate (a sweet and stunningly beautiful female eclectus) are still weaning, so they're not quite ready to go home yet. His cagemate has already found her person, but Albus is still waiting for his person to walk through the door.

Come on in and spend some time with Albus, and see if you connect!
