Phelony was adopted on 6/5/2026 after 6 months at the shelter. Here's what her owner had to say!

“She has become very adventurous, super cuddly, active, loud, and loves to demand for treats.

She loves that I leave her alone until she's ready and then she rubs up all over me when she feel like it, usually when I'm trying to eat or do something that needs no cat involved. And recently she started a habit of coming to cuddle me in bed every night before I fall asleep and she goes off to run zoomies around the apartment.

It's been a blast and I can't wait to see how she continues to bloom.”

Thank you Waznik Heike Group, Community Foundation of Dunn County, and all of the attendees! ❤️

We are honored to be one of the nonprofits selected to receive funding from this year’s event. Your support helps us continue caring for animals in need throughout Dunn County.

Community Foundation of Dunn County employees Chelsea Danner and Laura Giammattei attended the 2026 Waznik Heike Group Women's Golf Outing yesterday at Tanglewood Greens! Even though the rain kept them off the course, they enjoyed the day socializing and playing Bingo.

All in all, attendees raised over $6,000, which was generously matched by WHG. The three nonprofits voted on by attendees to receive the funding were Stepping Stones of Dunn County, The Dunn County Humane Society, and The Bridge to Hope!

In addition, WHG donated another $1,000 to each nonprofit that had representatives attend the outing!

Thank you to WHG for hosting this amazing outing, year after year! We look forward to getting on the course next year!

SENIOR SKIP DAY SUCCESS! 🎉

This morning, Bailey (13 years), Jarrett (11 years), and Bubba Jay (10 years) successfully broke out of the shelter with the help of some accomplices (also known as our amazing fosters) for a well-deserved day of fun! 🐾

The trio made a stop at Culver's new Menomonie location for some delicious custard before heading to Fleet Farm Menomonie to pick out brand-new toys. Safe to say, they had an absolute blast soaking up the attention, treats, and adventures!

A huge thank you to our fosters for making this special day possible and helping our seniors create some wonderful memories while they wait to be adopted. ❤️

Thank You for an Incredible Scramble for the Animals! ⛳

What a fantastic day on the course! We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who made yesterday’s Scramble for the Animals such a success.

Thank you to Tanglewood Greens for hosting us, our title sponsor Vets Plus, Inc. for their generous support, and all of our amazing event sponsors who helped make the day possible. We are also incredibly grateful to the golfers and volunteers who spent a beautiful day raising funds for the animals in our care.

The weather was perfect, the competition was friendly, and most importantly, every swing, putt, and raffle ticket purchased will help provide shelter, medical care, and second chances to local pets in need.

From all of us, and the animals, thank you for helping make this event such a wonderful success. We couldn’t do it without this incredible community! ❤️🐶🐱
