Duke had the BEST day out of the shelter! ❤️🐾
He got to go shoe shopping, enjoy some new sights and smells, and even treat himself to a pup cup! ☕🐶

It’s always special getting our dogs out for little adventures and letting them enjoy life outside the shelter.

Now, Duke is hoping his next adventure will be heading HOME for good! 🏡❤

Meet Panda, the Lover Boy Who Has No Concept of Personal Space! 💙

“I’m a 7 year old, 90 pound boy who may be a big guy, but that hasn’t stopped me from believing I’m the perfect size for your lap!

My favorite place to be is as close to my people as possible. I know sit, shake, and stay, and I’ve lived with dogs, cats, and kids, so I’m used to being part of a family. I’m a big, lovable guy with a whole lot of affection to give, and I’d love nothing more than to find my forever people.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will always want to be by your side (and probably even sitting on you), I might just be your guy!”

Meet Merle, the Country Legend Looking for His Next Big Hit.. a Home! 🩵

“Howdy, y’all! 🤠 I’m here to prove that the best things in life aren’t just in a country song… Sometimes they’re a four-legged friend!

I’m about 2 years old, 65 pounds. New people? Let’s be friends! New places? Let’s go explore! And if you happen to have snacks along the way, well, you might just become my favorite person.

I’m a very food-motivated fella, which makes me eager to learn when there are tasty treats involved.
I also get along well with other dogs.

I may be named after a country music legend, but the only “Mama Tried” I’m interested in is the one who tried to resist taking me home and couldn’t! 😉”

On Monday, Ranger joined us for a special visit to the Stout Preschool Center! 🐶

We talked about what a typical day looks like at the shelter, how we keep our animals safe and healthy, what it means to work at an animal shelter, and the importance of being kind and gentle to animals.

Thank you Stout Child & Family Study Center for having us! We had so much fun sharing a little bit about shelter life with you! ❤️
