MABEL is officially in beast mode at the Dunn County Jail Garden but the growing season is winding down.
She’s swelling, glowing, and showing off like she knows she’s Green Bay‑bound to go bask in the presence of Lambeau Field.

Wednesday night she is going to be talked about with the Dunn County Master Gardeners.

Thursday she gets loaded on to the trailer

Then next stop on October 4th: Anoka Halloween Inc. and Anoka Halloween Great Pumpkin Expo to get an official weight.

Then she gets to hang out a little bit, before going to Titletown on October 16th, to be displayed for Spooktacular on the 17th, and the hopefully she gets shown on Sunday Night Football on NBC .

Let’s go, MABEL. 🎃🔥

Check out MABEL at the Dunn County, Wisconsin Jail Garden. She is slowing down estimated weight of 972 lbs. Sadly we lost CURLY to a rodent chewing a nice hole into the cavity.

First pumpkin of the season is started.. scarified this logo onto a field pumpkin for a certain team, we will be carving for October 16,17 and 18th. Once we etch the surface we spray with peroxide, and then spritz with 100% isopropyl alcohol. As the pumpkin continues to grow, so will the carving.

Good Morning Pumpkin Fans, today we have the St. Croix Growers Association Summer Patch Tour. "MABEL" is still packing on the pounds and "CURLY" is beginning to take a nice symmetrical shape.

The Pumpkin at the Dunn County Jail Garden is doing good. Estimated weight is 672 lbs. A lot of people ask how we estimate the weight. It is a total of 3 measurements. End to End, Side to Side and Circumference to get at Over The Top(OTT).

Someone at the Jail Garden asked if I purposely planted all Orange Zinnias... I think my orange pumpkin fertilizer must have affected them, as zinnias are like a box of chocolates. I could not have done that on purpose if I tried.
