Happy Friday, everyone! What a summer it's been.

We kicked the season off with a 2-day seminar from Joaquim Dovat, and it's been full speed ever since — tons of new products added to the site, and some really cool projects brewing behind the scenes that we can't wait to share.

Ian and Dave have been on the road nonstop, for work and with their families. They just got back from HITS and are already gearing up for WLECHA.

Summer's winding down, but the school year — and a big fall lineup — is just getting started. Here's what's on deck:
- Joaquim Dovat returns in October for another bitework seminar. Spots are almost gone — if you've been on the fence, now's the time.
- Kevin Sheldahl joins us in November for a scent detection workshop, beginner and intermediate friendly. A great entry point if you've been curious about detection and tracking.

Meet the trainer coming to Leerburg this October: Joaquim Dovat. 🇨🇭

Joaquim's path as a decoy started in 1999, at a dog club near his hometown in Switzerland. In 2005, he was recruited by the Swiss Army, where he spent 14 years training and selecting the country's finest Military Defense Dogs — and became an expert in narcotic and detection dog training for annual deployments and defense missions.

Almost 25 years in, he's decoyed for 80+ Mondioring, French Ring, and IPO competitions worldwide, including 6 World Championships. He's taught seminars to hundreds of competitive sport dog teams across the US, Europe, China, and Russia.

Joaquim is back at Leerburg October 10–11 for a 2-day Bitework Development seminar — open to handlers AND decoys, all levels. Spots are open now.

🌈 Today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day — a day to pause and remember the dogs who aren't with us anymore, but who shaped who we are as trainers and owners.

Every dog we've lost taught us something. Patience. Timing. What real partnership with a dog looks like. They're part of every dog we work with now, even if they're not here to see it.
