Good Dogs Wear Muzzles Too!

A well-fitted muzzle is a management tool and a safety tool. It gives you options. It keeps your dog safe from things they shouldn't eat. It protects other people and animals if an emergency situation ever occurs.

Reasons to muzzle your dog may include:
- To prevent wound licking
- To prevent eating rocks, garbage, or other things
- For reactive and aggressive dogs
- For grooming and vet visits
- Introducing new dogs and animals

The Rainbow Bridge Poem

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of the many colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land
of meadows, hills, and valleys with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place.
There is always food and warm spring weather.
The old and frail are made young again.
They play all day with each other.

There is only one thing missing. They are not with
their special person who loved them on Earth.
So, each day they run and play, until the day comes
when one suddenly stops playing and looks up!
The nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes are starting!
And this one runs from the ground!

You have been seen,
and when you and your special friend meet,
you take him or her in your arms and embrace.
Your face is kissed again and again and again,
and you look once more into the eyes of your trusted friend.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together,
never again to be separated.

Leerburg is excited to launch a photo contest celebrating responsible dog ownership! We're asking our customers to share photos of their dogs wearing Leerburg muzzles and tell us their stories. This is a chance to showcase the positive role muzzles play in training, safety, and everyday life. Submit of a photo of your dog wearing a Leerburg muzzle to enter. All types of muzzles can be used, as long as the muzzle was purchased from Leerburg.

Why We're Doing This: Muzzles are an important tool for training and safety, yet they're often misunderstood. Your stories help educate the dog training community about responsible muzzle use and celebrate the work you're doing with your dogs. We look forward to seeing your dogs, as well a wide range of unique and interesting photo ideas!

How To Enter
Take a Photo: Capture your dog wearing a Leerburg muzzle. Photos can be candid, action shots, or posed portraits. Get creative.
Write a Short Blurb (Optional): Include a brief description with your dog's name and breed, how long they've been using their Leerburg muzzle, and why your dog wears a muzzle.
Submit Your Entry: Upload and submit your photo using our photo contest uploader. Photos will appear in the gallery once they are approved.
Submissions are due by midnight on Tuesday, June 30th, 2026.
