MEET ANGEL & LIZZY! (Medium Mixed Breeds)

These 8 month old sisters are ready to find a home.
Bashful at first - these two are as sweet as they come. They've done good meeting other pups (just very timid at first!) and staff think they would react similar to felines!

Being 8 months old these little ladies will need a home thats ready for puppy training, structure, and energy!!
If you're looking for puppy kisses look no further.

At 7 years young, Blue is the perfect mix of mature gentleman and big playful pup. He has found himself looking for a new home through no fault of his own and he is so ready to find his forever family! Blue never meets a stranger, to him, everyone is just a friend he hasn’t kissed yet. He absolutely loves car rides and is always down for an adventure or just to take a snooze in the A/C.

Blue is a brave, fearless, and wonderfully talkative guy who loves to tell you all about his day. Since being with the shelter team, he has been a total rockstar with his potty behaviors (zero accidents!). Because he loves his humans so much, he does prefer having company and might protest with a few barks if left alone in a yard.

He adores kids and does best with respectful friends ages roughly 8 and up who understand a big dog's boundaries. When it comes to other dogs, his previous home said he is a total powerhouse player! He can live with another dog, but they would need to match his tough, high-energy play style.

We love getting updates on animals who have found their forever home and love sharing them with the community who helped support their journey!

Glaz (now Zeus) found his perfect home. He is now an everyday explorer and adventurer. He's adjusted very well and has even made a new best friend! We couldn't have imagined a better home for this energetic cuddle bug.

LINDA'S ADVENTURE FROM WEDNESDAY!

It’s Wednesday, so we were anxiously awaiting for the arrival of our volunteer, Linda, to see who she would be taking on an adventure. Alucard was today’s lucky guy! Here’s what she had to say about him:

Alucard! What an unusual name! But when you see his long fangs, it makes sense; it’s Dracula spelled backwards! How fun is that! He also is a polydactyl, and with those extra toes, it looks like he has little hands that are wearing mittens! Too cute!

I harnessed him up, and away we went! He rode with his paws on my shoulder, so curious to see where we were headed. He happily sang along to the oldies with me, belting out Ted Nugent’s “Cat Scratch Fever!” Our first stop was Bay Cities Radio, where he charmed Jim and Chuck, then went on the air with his new BFF, Melissa, to talk about life at the shelter. From there, we went to Mighty Pet, to check out their facilities. He calmly sat on my shoulder while dogs were barking, not bothered one bit by them. He just loved it there, the folks are just so very nice! Our last stop was 35th and Coffee. He really wanted to explore inside, but I convinced him to stay put while his photo was being taken. He posed so majestically! We shared a large, iced, “ Werewolf;” I drank the coffee while he lapped up the whipped cream. What a team we made!

Alucard is just shy of 8 years old, and came from a home with dogs and other cats. In fact, one of his housemates, Patcha, is still at the shelter. They don’t need to be adopted together, but maybe we can do a two for the price of one deal? Hmmmm.

Won’t you consider adopting Alucard? He’d be the purrfect addition to any home!
