Have you ever wondering what it’s like to give a 3ft long lizard antibiotics?

Right now Ash gets antibiotics every 3 days to help with her respiratory/skin infections. Unlike dogs/cats, most lizards don’t take pills very well😂 so we have to give them to her by injection. I tell people tegus are like solid bricks of muscle with super thick skin, so Ash she gets wrapped in a “towel burrito” so she doesn’t squirm and hurt herself. The first couple times we gave her the injections she was so lethargic she wouldn’t even flinch, but now that the meds are working and she has more energy she definitely lets us know it’s not her favorite activity😂
(Also huge shoutout to my dad for being so supportive and willing to help, he’s the best!)
