Dax (2025) has a new place he likes to hang out on…our dining room table!! He hops up on a dining room chair and gets up on the table. He can look out the window and check out the action outside. Fortunately, we don’t use the dining room table as we eat in the kitchen or family room. Isn’t Dax something else??? He’s a character! Isada Martignetti / Worcester MA

Kona (2024) recently went to the vet for a check-up. He is 85 pounds of pure sweetness. He absolutely loved the snow during our long winter, and now that it’s warming up, he is getting ready to swim every day. I love him more than anything! Thank you for choosing us! Melissa La Rue / Manville NJ

R.I.P. Goldie
Dear Mike, I wanted to let you know that on 3/6/26 we had to say goodbye to our dear sweet 17 year old Goldie. We adopted Goldie in May 2009 when she was 5 months old. (She had been lovingly fostered by Celia Swan). We adopted Goldie on the occasion of our daughter’s 13th birthday and my daughter is now 30.

Goldie was always down for a walk in the neighborhood, the park, the beach, or the cranberry bogs near our new home. Our fun adventures with Goldie over the years gave us the opportunity to meet so many nice people and dogs we would otherwise never have had the chance to meet.

It was so hard to see Goldie suffer at the end of her life with dementia and immobility nor could she enjoy the things she always loved. However, she had a long happy and otherwise healthy life. No more pain and suffering for her: she’s at the rainbow bridge now with all the friends she long outlived. We are so grateful for the gift of Goldie’s life. She was the perfect match for our family. She was such a special dog. She taught us how to live, how to love, and when the time came, how to say goodbye. 😢 Thank you for connecting us to Goldie. We will miss her and love her forever. R.I.P. Mickey
Hi Mike, I hope this finds you well. On 12/7/10 my grandmother passed away. While driving home from the hospital, we received a call from you that you had found a dog for us: Mickey. To this day, I believe it was a sign from heaven. We picked him up a few days later here in Westchester and he became a part of our family instantly. We enjoyed fifteen amazing years and finally had to say goodbye to our dear, sweet Mickey this past week. We wanted to say thank you for bringing us together and changing our lives. We will always be grateful. Elissa Bookner / Scarsdale NY

R.I.P. Mimi and Maddie
I have sad news. My Maddie was put to sleep this afternoon due to kidney failure. She was 17 years old. Mimi and Maddie were adopted from Good Dog Rescue in 2009. I lost Mimi to cancer April 2025. They were such a joy and we spent so much time together. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to have had 2 wonderful sisters. Marlene G Rhome / Stamford CT

R.I.P. Nash
My sweet boy Nash, who was in great shape, unexpectedly died a week ago. When we woke up, he was in his last state of awareness and we were bundling him up to take him to the vet when he expired. Needless to say I’m crushed. But I am so thankful for those wonderful seven months of loving him and giving him a loving home that was filled with activity, cuddles, fun chasing his toys and walks with me on a leash on our property. He was dearly loved. Thank you, Mike for that wonderful opportunity. It will take me some time to get over this loss. Ann Brown Thomason / Lakeland TN

We are so grateful for what you do and for bringing Shelby into our lives (2022). I never forget that she was a one-year old baby mama living on the streets of Little Rock, Arkansas. We named her Shelby because she came to us via Shelby County Memphis. Shelby enjoys life and love on our farm in Bucks County, PA. Over the last 2.5+ years she’s been a gift who keeps on giving and a very happy, deeply bonded sister of Susie, a Texas pup whom we rescued from another group a year before Shelby. With unending gratitude, Ann Meredith / Ottsville PA
