Hi Mike....just a update on Suki. She is doing great! Sometimes it just takes time and sometimes a lot of time for these rescue dogs that have been thru so much. Suki is my fourth rescue dog but by far the toughest! She did not want to start all over again with a new owner and she was extremely resistant. What she didn't know was that I was just as persistent and was not going to give up on her.

Little by little she moved closer to me. Eventually I could pet her without her trying to bite me. Every time I thought we had moved forward we would have a setback...but I persisted. Taking treats without taking my hand off took a while longer; but we are finally there!! She now jumps up on my lap for scratches and waits for me to catch up on walks. She is a wonderful dog. We continue to settle in with Poncho and delight in him. He is a loving, sweet quirky little guy very smart. Very much wants to be loved. He craves skin contact and he will push push-up on us. Our cats are continuing to improve with him. Sassy are nine-year-old Chihuahua gets pushed around by him a little bit, but we try to be as firm as we can. We love him very much. He is a wonderful member of the family. I can’t say he is the best behaved, but we are working on it. We are so grateful for all of your support. Andrea Sinkin / Greenwich CT

Poppy is a 4 month old female JRT mix from an unwanted litter in Memphis. The vet says breed is likely Heinz 57, probably a mixture of 10-12 random breeds but she looks more like a JRT than anything. However, she doesn’t display the hyperactivity you’d expect from a JRT. Poppy’s mom is a mix weighing 30 pounds as an adult. Another clue… Poppy has a somewhat curly tail! This pup still lives in the house where she was born with her original family as she’s awaiting her forever home. Sweet, loving, affectionate. Poppy hasn’t been socialized much outside the family home so she’s a little hesitant with strangers and new situations but warms up quickly. Growing up around kids and other dogs. Not cat tested but she has such a mild temperament. Recommended for children 6 years and older. Instruction has begun with crate training, housebreaking and leash walking. DOB is 3-4-26. Weighs about 18 pounds, healthy, altered and utd on shots. This is an adorable puppy with a loving temperament who will make a great companion for an active family. Here's a note from the foster mom: "SWEET PUPPY! loving and affectionate. It's so much fun watching her learn what toys and treats are for! Very nice pup, will be a great family dog."
