Today was a day that I don’t think I’ll ever forget. 💜🐾

I’ve always wanted to bring Prince to Dog Mountain. It was one of those places I had always hoped to experience with him, but unfortunately, life had other plans, and I never got that chance.

But today, something happened that made the day even more meaningful. A memory popped up on Facebook from this exact day, the day Prince was diagnosed with cancer. Out of all the days, it had to be today. I couldn’t help but feel like it was a little sign from him. 🥹

So today, I brought a piece of him with me. His memorial box and a picture, and I left his photo in the chapel so that a little piece of Prince will forever have a place there.

Walking throughout Dog Mountain with Sage was beautiful, but my heart couldn’t help wishing Prince was right there beside us. There was a lot of emotion, a lot of tears, and moments when it all just felt overwhelming.

Sage may be making new memories with me, but Prince will forever be a part of every adventure, every special place, and every chapter of my life. She could never replace him, and she doesn’t have to. My heart has room for both of them.

I wish I could have given Prince the experience of being there himself, but today I got to bring him there in a different way. And somehow, that meant everything.

Until we meet again, my sweet boy. I hope you know just how loved you are. You will always go wherever my heart takes me. 💜🐾
