🚨 Protect your pets 🚨
Even if your pet lives exclusively indoors, keeping their rabies vaccination up to date is important. Rabies is a fatal disease that can affect both animals and people, and vaccination is the best way to protect your pet and your family.
🐶 For Dogs: We offer a 3-year rabies vaccine for eligible dogs, helping provide long-lasting protection.
🐱 For Cats: We offer PUREVAX® Rabies, a vaccine specifically designed for cats. PUREVAX is a non-adjuvanted rabies vaccine, meaning it does not contain an added adjuvant to stimulate the immune response. It was developed with feline-specific vaccine considerations in mind and provides effective protection against rabies.

RABIES ALERT ISSUED FOR MELBOURNE AREA
The Florida Department of Health in Brevard County has issued a 60-day rabies alert after a raccoon captured off Andrews Avenue in the Melbourne area on Aug. 27 tested positive for rabies.
The alert covers the area bounded by West Eau Gallie Boulevard to the north, Sarno Road to the south, Croton Road to the east and North Wickham Road to the west. Health officials say residents and visitors should be aware that rabies is currently present in the wild animal population.
DOH-Brevard is urging people to avoid contact with wild or stray animals including raccoons, bats, foxes, skunks, otters, bobcats and coyotes. Keep pets vaccinated and on a leash, keep livestock secured, and do not leave pet food or open garbage outside where it can attract wildlife.
If you or a pet is bitten or scratched, seek medical or veterinary attention immediately and report the injury to DOH-Brevard at 321-634-6337, option 3. To report stray animals, contact Brevard County Sheriff's Office Animal Services at 321-633-2024.
