RJ Farms is born of the idea that all people should have the opprotunity to connect with a horse, and those bold enough to step in the pen with a wild horse should have that chance. We thrive on the non- verbal communication that these horses teach us, and our goals are simple, save Mustangs AND people. Our farm is family owned and operated and open to students of all ages & abilities. We speciali

ze BLM mustangs , forestry mustangs and all things wild. Our focus has become taking in these living legends and helping them to adjust to domestic life, As we know it. We do this in a variety of ways from gentling & training, to sanctuary to rescue & rehab . Whatever it takes!!! Our farm is a non-traditional “ ranch” where the horses are not tools , but they ARE our purpose. We are open to trying what works including meeting the special needs of all clients from the weekend warrior to the experienced equestrian who’s up to learning something new. High risk youth, groups or private families are welcomed on a case by case basis and they will learn the concepts of hard work & compassion & their self esteem will improve and pride will surround your child. We are not a fancy show barn, we are a working family who cares about our mis-fit horses. We do offer standard boarding and training , but with a twist. You or your child will be welcomed into the wonderful world of mustang horsemanship. Nothing is more humbling that being in the presence of a horse. Come and meet our herds and experience what RJ Farms can bring to your life. There is nothing more magical than allowing a mustang to choose you! Yesterday the kids rocked it!

Three lessons and despite the monsoon mid day - we got in some good lesson time.

Harley & little Sugar are hitting it out of the ball park! She has navigated all 4 feet ( almost ready for the farrier) and yesterday we started working on lunging and navigating " transitions" walk trot and back to walk . ( video and pics coming)

Next jennifer & peanut -- while hes a dream boat on the ground and gentle as a lamb - hes a hard head 😜😜😜. Working on space issues and refreshing his ground work so that he can be a trustworthy boy . 🥰🥰🥰

Then Beckett and Koda . This filly is learning to navigate obstacles without panic /and learning to not jump in your lap when scared. She is a big girl for a baby and building her confidence is our goal ..

All three did Fantastic !!! My phone was on the charger so I only got videos of Harley 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Today - Ill be better !!!

With summer coming - light weight and washable would be great !

Also not a bazillion dollars!
