“A dream worth chasing will ask, again and again….do you truly want it?”
Yes.
To just step out into the field yesterday after everything that has been stacked against me the past six months was a win.
Folks don’t see the ten hours of driving to train at club, the training with a severely broken ankle, the months I couldn’t train due to that ankle, or work because making a ten hour trip every weekend isn’t always feasible with my full time job.
It’s sacrifice, and grit, and perseverance, and a will for a dream I KNOW we will achieve.

I know the flaws: dirty es**rt, slow to out. But those flaws also show me his strength: he is a strong dog, we don’t lack in grip or nerve. But those flaws are extremely expensive points.
If I flipped him to any other sport his outs would be full points. He would thrive in PSA, with his grip and his nerve strength I don’t doubt his skill as I’ve seen it. I’ve thought many a time to switch to PSA because the slow to out in ring is so costly (and guys I mean one second slow to out for those who aren’t familiar with ring, one second). But ring is the sport I love and we have come too far to turn back now.
I love this dog, I love every minute I train with him. Every minute I trial with him. I’ve trialed other dogs before, and never truly enjoyed the trial. Only Kovacs.
I am also beyond grateful for the club and training group I have. You guys make those long days and losses worth it. Your support is everything ❤️
So, with the limited amount of training I can get to, with the limited trials in the area, we will try again.
