🚨 WE ARE FULL 🚨

One of the hardest parts of working in animal rescue is reading the hundreds of emails we get from well meaning people asking us to take in the stray cats they feed on the streets.

We have to constantly turn cats away because we simply don’t have the space or resources to take any more in. All of our acclimation cages are full.

The BEST thing that anyone can do to help is to spay and neuter feral/stray cats that are living outside to help reduce the homeless cat population.

If you want more information, we can help you with local TNR information. This is a problem that will only be fixed by each individual person getting the strat cats they feed fixed and vaccinated. No other help is coming so please don’t wait.

Remember Egg McMuffin
The cat that came to us with entropion, eye lashes that grow into the eye, and we almost lost because he was so sick from an infected abscess we didn’t even know he had. We’ll look at him now. He is feeling so much better and resting up hoping he may find his furever home some day.

Update on Copper, the sick cat we took in two nights ago.

Copper‘s bloodwork came back today and showed no signs of anything significant. His stool sample showed two types of parasites, but nothing crazy. This is both good and bad news as it makes it a bit more difficult to figure out what is going on with this boy. The vet who saw Copper yesterday believes it could be some type IBS caused by the parasites or worse, a type of lymphoma in the intestines.

Thankfully, the treatment is the same for both so we are going to get him started on a treatment plan and are hoping that he will start feeling better very soon. This poor guy has been through a lot, and we really really are pulling for him and will do everything we can to bring him back to health with the resources that we have.

We want to thank Village Veterinary Hospital for giving him great care.
