❗WASP NEST UNDER THE LARGE A-FRAME: This morning we received an email reporting there is a wasp nest under the large A-frame in Hydrant Field.

Please avoid this agility obstacle and help spread the word to visitors who are at the park until the A frame is caution taped off.

We have alerted the Township's Public Works Dept. about this and will post an update when it has been removed.

❗ATTENTION FREEDOM BARKERS: Yesterday (9/3/26), Public Works provided us with the map below and informed us they installed caution tape to close off the area marked in red. We were also advised the Township would be adding additional signage and inspecting other areas along the bank to potentially close off to park patrons.

Please be advised that park goers have reported today (9/4/26) that the Township has blocked off more trails at the dog park with caution tape. It appears that the area affected is generally described as follows: Buddy and Lucy Trail, marked on the map in black. Freedom Barks is requesting additional information from the Township about this action and will pass on further details when we receive them. Thank you.

FYI- the water fountain in the Gill Road parking lot is being turned off until it can be repaired by Public Works. While the fountain is out of order, please be sure to bring water with you if needed for yourself or your pups! 🐶🐾

FYI- Public Works is currently removing a hazardous tree on Buddy Trail. For the safety of all, please do not enter the work area (marked on the map below with black Xs).

The volunteers of Freedom Barks, Inc. are happy to announce the new zig zag ramp has been built in Hydrant Field! Please join us in thanking Brian from Repair & Replace, LLC and long-time Freedom Barks volunteer, Jim Wert, for dedicating their time to this project. In addition to removing the broken agility steps and replacing a beam on the large A-frame.

All supplies were purchased by Freedom Barks, Inc. Many thanks to everyone who has donated, purchased merchandise, and attended events. Your support allows us to afford these improvements for park patrons to enjoy for years to come. 🐶🐾

FREEDOM BARKS DOG PARK IS OPEN!

Thank you to our 8 volunteers from Freedom Barks, Inc. who spent 1 hour picking up the firework debris from the launch site in Squirrel Field.

We did our best to make sure the majority of the debris was removed.

For the safety of all park pups, please continue to keep an eye out. Especially, in the area marked in red on the map.

If you happen to come across any additional debris please use an extra doggie bag and throw it away.
