To achieve an uphill half-halt ...

Remember that it’s not just about closing your legs and reins at the same time. You also need to rebalance the energy with your seat. Imagine you are on a bicycle and are about to pop a wheelie. Engage your abdominal muscles, lift your chest and still your lower back to lift the front wheels of the bicycle up off the ground. In the saddle, this same feeling tells the horse to lower his hindquarters and lift his front end—just like the front of the bicycle lifts off the ground.

Show Postponed!
Due to the continued high heat forecast and very unhealthy fire smoke challenges we have to decided to postpone the show until Sunday September 13th.

We hope this comes as positive news especially for those of you who couldn’t make it in August. Our USEF l graduate Sally Jean Savoy will still be judging in September.

We hope that September will bring us no fires and cooler weather! Hope to see you all then!

Thank you to everyone that came to the Serious fun schooling horse show series yesterday! To the competitors, volunteers, judges and Stacy. It takes a village to put on these shows and we appreciate everyone and the part they did. Look forward to seeing everyone again August 9th for the next one!
