Heidi is a Pomsky (Pomeranian/Husky mix) who looks like a miniature Husky. She is active, playful, affectionate, and good with other dogs. She is looking for an owner who enjoys hitting the trails. She's approximately two years old. She will be spayed on June 11th and can go home after that, but she is available to meet potential adopters now. Please help us find her a great home by sharing this post.

Go to Medfieldshelter.com/adopt to fill out an application.

Camellia (male, gray) and Trillium (female, black) are 3-month-old siblings. These guys are from an accidental litter and did not get proper handling and socialization before coming into our care. We are looking for a patient adopter who is comfortable keeping them in one room to start and handling them and brushing them to help them learn how nice human touch is. With some patience and tasty snacks, we are confident they will come around. The kittens have had all their vet care, so they just need a loving home now.

One-year-old Zahara was surrendered to us by an owner who had too many cats. She is a quiet, reserved kitty, but we think she'll come out of her shell once she is in a home. Zahara previously lived in a home with other cats and did well. She has been very gentle with all of our volunteers and enjoys cheek rubs and gentle petting. She was spayed and updated on her vaccinations on 6/4 so she is ready for a new home.

Every week, a lucky Medfield Shelter dog gets to go on a hike with Spotty Dog Hiking. Today it was Heidi’s turn, and it looks like she had a great time, including taking a dip in the water.

Update: adopted! We wish we had 10 dogs like Nugget because we had so many great applications for him.

We have a new cutie at the Shelter. Nugget came into our care after being found as a stray. We can't believe no owner claimed him. He is very social and loves being petted. He walks well on a leash and seems to like the other dogs in our care. Since we don't know his history, we recommend he go to a home with children 12 years or older. He will be neutered on June 4th and ready to go to a new home once that is done. The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application here: medfieldshelter.com/adopt

One last adoption update for May:

"Things are going well. She's very shy, but very sweet. We're taking things slow and letting her set the pace. We finally introduced the two cats last night, and I'd call it a win! We're hoping with more time that she continues to open up and feel even more comfortable. I'm attaching a photo of her enjoying her new home. Thanks again for such a sweet baby!"

Carson and Mason are brothers from an accidental litter. They are 6 weeks old and have been held and cuddled by their foster daily, so they are very acclimated to people and would make nice pets for anyone who enjoys spending time with their guinea pigs. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They are very cute, active, and curious.

If you would like to adopt a guinea pig, rabbit, or another small critter, please fill out our adoption application: medfieldshelter.com/adopt

Adoption update for Mondrich:

"Henry (aka Mondrich) is doing great! It took him 3 days under my bed to finally join us in the living room and he is really starting to shine. Lots of rubs and sitting on our laps. He even jumped up on the grandkids today and greeted them...they love him!
Thank you for filling the whole in my heart with Henry...we love him!!"
