So our community in Central Virginia suffered a loss the other day. Two Chesterfield County police officers and their K9 were shot. The officers are in critical condition and the K9 died. Please hold these officers, their families and their department up in prayer.

Little Lenni is already rocking her leash work on her walk! She used to walk on a harness and would pull like crazy! Harnesses are good for certain things however, not on the walk😉. A lot of the dogs we receive are pulling maniacs!. Just like we explain to clients, think about what sled dogs wear....a harness that goes across the strongest point of their body, their chest. It's like a challenge which encourages them to pull!

Meet Mia the Rottie and her brother, Wrecker the Frenchie! They arrived for their three week B&T today! Mia is super sweet with humans...so sweet that she likes to jump up on them when the come into the house! She's a big girl! She doesnt listen either🤦. She can be reactive to other dogs as well. She does show traits of resource guarding and also doesn't like her feet touched. Brother Wrecker also reacts towards other dogs (birds of a feather?) and, doesn't listen either. Feet and collaring are issues as well and displays separation anxiety. WHEW!! We have our work cut out for us! Stay tuned!

Benji has a few known triggers that have caused him to bite his owner. One of them, is putting on and taking off collars. In this video, we are using a common training technique called flooding, to create a positive association with collaring. We will be repeating this training exercise for the remainder of Benji's stay with us.

Welcome Wags! This Vizsla pup is approximately four months old and will be with us for three weeks! While here, he will be working on solid puppy manners and listening skills💪. He was the runt of litter so he's super small! He will return in a couple months when he's a little bigger for his e-collar training😊.

Meet Lenni😉. She is a two year old mix and will be with us for three weeks (and an additional week for boarding) Lenni is super sweet however, she likes to pull like a sled dog. One of her other talents is jumping on people. She also has an insane prey drive and will chase small animals if given the opportunity. Stay tuned for more Lenni!
