Anyone recognize this DARLING girl? Found on Mt. Wolf Road in Charlotte Hall. She has a chip but it's not registered and we weren't able to get in contact with the implanter.

She is SUPER sweet and we know someone must be missing her! Tag potential owners, share, and comment so we can get this baby back to her people!

LUNA AND MIA ARE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Luna and Mia were left together in the overnight kennels at the Charles County Animal Care Center with an explanation that they had been found walking in the road. We were at the shelter to look at other dogs when we saw them. They had been used for breeding, were so skinny, and looked so sad. Mia was sitting in the back corner of the kennel on the bed and wouldn't even come over to us. Luna came up and licked my hand. I asked the rescue coordinator when they would be available. As fate would have it, their hold was up that day, so they left with us.

Their first hurdle was getting treated for kennel cough which was running rampant at the shelter. We immediately started them on medication and worked on feeding them many times a day so they would slowly start to gain weight.

Then we had to address Luna's other health concerns. Luna had one quarter size growth / mass on her left and right side hip areas. Then on her first trip to the vet revealed she had pinched nostrils. The growths were actually calluses from sitting in the same position so much. So we scheduled to have her spayed, the calluses removed, and corrective surgery to open up her nostrils. She has recovered well. Now they are both healthy and ready for their forever homes.

While Luna and Mia have been with us, we have found that Luna is quite dependent on Mia. We would like to try to find them a home together but we will separate them if necessary.

We believe that Luna will need another dog to be her companion, play with, and help her to be more confotable in her new surrounding.

Luna is a 25lb 4 year old French Bulldog and has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Luna is not housebroken or competely crate trained.

Mia is a 30lb 4 year old Bulldog and has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Crate trained and housebroken.

These girls would be a great addition to any home, together or separate. Their adoption fee is $350 for each or $625 if they are adopted together. They are at So MD Animal Rescue in Mechanicsville, MD. Please send us a pm if you have any questions.

If you are interested in adoption, you can fill out our online application at

We are asking for help with the cost of Luna's surgery. Your donations are greatly appreciated. Donate to Venmo somdanimalrescue.

UPDATE FOSTER HAS BEEN FOUND

🚨🚨LAST CALL - URGENT FOSTER NEEDED FOR THIS FAMILY BY EOB MONDAY OR THEY WILL GO TO THE SHELTER 🚨🚨

The owner of this mom and 5 puppies was evicted yesterday. They are in a temporary hold until tomorrow, when they will be taken to the shelter. The shelter can be very dangerous to the health of 2 week old puppies. We are trying to keep them out, but we need a foster to step up.

Mom will take care of the puppies and we will take care of everything else. All you need to do is care for and love them.

This will be LAST CALL for a foster for this family. Tomorrow they will be going to the local shelter in GA. We need someone that can commit to fostering them for at least 3 weeks, but 6 weeks would be better. When we have an approved, committed foster, we will have them transported to their foster home.

If you can help, please fill out our online application https://form.jotform.com/smar46/dog-foster-application and then text your name and sent application to 301-653-2271.

Even if you can’t foster, please share to help us find someone for this family.
