We’ve had quite a few questions lately about how big our Labradoodles are expected to get.
One thing we’ve always tried to do with our Labradoodle program is stay on the smaller side of what people traditionally picture when they hear Labradoodle.
Maui, the miniature poodle we use, is around 15 pounds, and we intentionally pair him with some of our smaller, more compact Lab females.
Jovie, the mother of our current Coffee Litter, is right around 50 pounds.
Our target is typically around 40 pounds, with most of our Labradoodles expected to mature somewhere in the 30 to 45 pound range.
Of course, there can always be some variation from puppy to puppy, but the goal is a smaller, athletic, family friendly Labradoodle that is still sturdy enough to keep up with an active family.
