🐾 Another store adventure for Mario! 🛒🐶

Today, Mario headed to Tractor Supply to continue working on his obedience and confidence in a busy public environment!

Since Mario came into his 2-Week Board & Train Program very nervous around new people and unfamiliar places, getting him out into the real world has been a huge part of his training. Each new store gives him another opportunity to experience different people, noises, carts, smells, and distractions while learning that he doesn’t need to be worried about everything happening around him.

Throughout TSC, Mario worked on walking nicely in a heel, staying engaged with his trainer, holding his commands, and remaining calm while people moved around him. Instead of letting his nerves take over, we want him to learn that he can look to his trainer for guidance and confidently work through unfamiliar situations.

Mario came to us without much formal obedience, so seeing him take the commands he’s learned and begin using them in busy public places has been great progress! 💙

Every successful outing helps build a more confident, focused, and reliable Mario, while still giving him plenty of positive experiences in new environments.

🎥🐾 It’s filming day for Reggie! 🐾🎥

Today, Reggie spent the day filming all of the clips for his before-and-after training video, giving him the chance to show off everything he’s learned throughout his 2-Week Board & Train Program!

When Reggie first arrived, he already knew sit and down, but he struggled with recall, leash pulling, door manners, and anxiety around loud or unexpected noises. He also needed work on his behavior surrounding high-value items like food and bones.

Over the past two weeks, Reggie has worked hard on strengthening his obedience, improving his impulse control, and becoming more confident in different environments. We’ve taken his training to parks, playgrounds, and several busy stores, giving him plenty of opportunities to practice around real-world distractions.

One of the biggest milestones was watching Reggie earn his off-leash freedom and put his improved recall and communication to the test! 🐶💨

Today was all about putting everything together for the camera. 🎬 Reggie showed off his commands, leash manners, focus, recall, and all of the progress he’s made since his first day with us.

It’s always exciting to compare those first clips to the dog standing in front of us at the end of training, and we can’t wait for everyone to see how far Reggie has come! 💙🐾

🎓⚡🐺 THOR HAS GRADUATED!! 🐺⚡🎓

What a journey this guy has had!

When Thor first arrived, calling him “a little wild” might have been the understatement of the year. 😂 This 2-year-old Husky/Border Collie mix came to us intense, wound up, jumping all over people, mouthy, barely listening, and pulling and slamming into the leash like a freight train. 🚂💨

And if Thor ever got the chance to get loose?

BYE! 😂 He was GONE.

But there was always a lot more to Thor than just a wild dog. This is an incredibly smart, driven dog who needed structure, communication, consistency—and most importantly, we needed to figure out what made him tick.

And we did. 💯

🔥 We tapped into Thor’s WORK DRIVE. 🔥

Fetch. Tug. Toys. Engagement. Giving that Border Collie/Husky brain something productive to DO instead of simply trying to suppress all that energy.

That’s when things really started clicking.

Over the last couple weeks, Thor has gone from dragging his handler around to having amazing leash manners. He’s trained at parks, downtown, Hollow Park, Home Depot, Treasure Island and around countless real-world distractions.

He learned to focus.
He learned to listen.
He learned impulse control.
He learned how to settle.
And he learned that being WITH his handler can be the most rewarding place in the world. ❤️🐾

Then came one of our favorite moments of his entire training journey…

THOR WENT 100% OFF LEASH. 🔥🔥🔥

The same dog who used to see freedom as an opportunity to RUN was happily playing, working, coming back to his trainer and choosing to stay engaged even when there was nothing physically holding him there.

THAT’S the transformation. 💪

Thor hasn’t lost that crazy personality or incredible drive—and we wouldn’t want him to. 😂⚡

We’ve simply taught him how to channel it.

From a rescue who had such a rough beginning…to the wild man who showed up at our door…to the focused, confident and happy dog standing in front of us today…

Thor, you absolutely crushed it. ❤️

🐾 Mario headed to Lowe’s today for another big training adventure! 🛒🐶

Mario has been getting lots of experience outside of the training environment lately, and today gave him another opportunity to practice his growing obedience skills in a busy public setting.

Since Mario came to us very nervous around unfamiliar people and new places, store trips are an important part of helping him gain confidence. Lowe’s provided plenty of new sights, sounds, people, carts, and other distractions while we worked on teaching him that he can stay calm and look to his trainer for guidance when he feels unsure.

Throughout the store, Mario practiced walking nicely in a heel, staying engaged with his trainer, holding his commands, and working through distractions instead of letting everything around him take over his attention.

Mario came into his program without much formal obedience, so it’s been exciting watching him take the commands he’s learned and begin applying them in real-world situations. Each successful trip helps him become a little more confident, focused, and reliable. 💙

🐾 Reggie took on another busy store today with a trip to Lowe’s! 🛒🐶

Throughout Reggie’s 2-Week Board & Train Program, we’ve been taking his obedience out into the real world and giving him plenty of opportunities to build confidence in new environments.

Lowe’s gave us lots to work around today—customers, shopping carts, loud noises, automatic doors, and plenty of activity throughout the store. Since Reggie can be anxious around loud or unexpected sounds, environments like this are especially valuable for teaching him how to stay calm and look to his trainer for guidance instead of becoming overwhelmed.

We practiced heeling through the aisles, holding his commands, staying engaged, and calmly allowing people and distractions to pass by. Each new outing helps reinforce that his obedience applies no matter where we go!

It’s been great watching Reggie become more confident and comfortable as we continue challenging him in different environments. 💙🐾

⚡🐺 THOR TAKES ON HOME DEPOT! 🐺⚡

Thor’s adventures continue, and this time we traded the parks and downtown sidewalks for the aisles of Home Depot! 🛒🔨

For a dog who came to us completely wound up, pulling like a freight train, jumping on people, struggling to listen, and wanting to investigate EVERYTHING…a busy store is a pretty big test.

And Thor absolutely ROCKED IT! 🔥👏

People walking by, shopping carts rattling around, strange noises, tight aisles, new smells and plenty of distractions—and Thor showed just how much progress he’s made.

🐾 Amazing leash manners
🐾 Great focus on his handler
🐾 Following commands around distractions
🐾 Holding positions instead of constantly being on the move
🐾 Staying calm and controlled in a completely different environment

One of the biggest goals with Thor has been teaching him that he doesn’t have to attack life at 110 mph. 😂 He can slow that brain down, look to his handler for direction, and make good decisions even when there’s a lot happening around him.

And THAT is exactly what we saw at Home Depot. 💯

The crazy, intense wild man is still in there—we wouldn’t want to completely take away what makes Thor, Thor. ⚡😂 We’re simply teaching him how to control all that energy and channel it in the right direction.

From dragging people around and doing whatever he wanted to confidently walking through a busy store and listening like a gentleman…

That’s some serious progress, Thor! 🐺💪🔥

⚡🐺 THOR TAKES ON HOLLOW PARK! 🐺⚡

Thor’s training adventure continued with a trip to Hollow Park, and this wild man just keeps showing us how far he’s come! 🔥👏

When Thor first arrived, everything was GO, GO, GO! Pulling like a freight train 🚂, jumping, ignoring commands, and constantly looking for his next opportunity to take off and explore the world on his own terms. 😂

Fast forward to now, and we’re seeing a MUCH different Thor.

Hollow Park gave us the perfect environment to work through plenty of real-world distractions while continuing to sharpen his leash manners, obedience, impulse control, focus, and ability to settle down and actually listen. 🐾

And Thor did GREAT! 💪

Instead of letting every sight, sound, smell, person, or animal completely take over his brain, he’s learning to stay engaged with his handler and follow commands even when there’s a whole world around him he’d rather investigate.

We’re still taking our time and being smart about how much freedom we give him. With Thor’s history of bolting and that Husky/Border Collie brain constantly whispering, “You know what would be fun? RUNNING.” 😂💨 we’re continuing to build reliability instead of rushing the process.

The biggest transformation with Thor isn’t just better obedience—it’s seeing a dog who came in intense, impulsive, and constantly wound up learning that he doesn’t have to live life at 110 mph.

He can listen.
He can focus.
He can relax.
And yes…he can actually WALK instead of tow us through the park. 😂👏
