Hershey came in today to see Dr Knouse as he was feeling under the weather. Rabbits are experts at hiding illness, so when they show signs that something isn’t right, it’s important to act quickly.

With supportive care and medications, we are happy to report that this brave bun is on the road to recovery and resting more comfortably at home 🏡✨

A gentle reminder to all rabbit owners:
🥕 Watch for changes in appetite or droppings
🥕 Monitor energy levels and behavior
🥕 Seek veterinary care promptly if something seems off

Rabbits have unique medical needs, and early intervention can make all the difference!

Sending lots of healing thoughts to our fluffy patient 💕🐇

Happy Veterinary Receptionist Week! 🐾

This week, we celebrate the amazing girls who are often the first friendly face you see and the reassuring voice you hear when your pet needs care. From scheduling appointments and answering questions to offering comfort during stressful moments, our veterinary receptionists keep everything running smoothly with compassion and dedication.

Thank you for your patience, kindness, and the countless ways you support both pets and their people every single day. We truly couldn’t do it without you! 💙

🚫 **Please Do Not Leave Lab Samples Outside The Hospital** 🚫

We kindly ask that you do not leave lab samples (stool, urine) outside the hospital when we are closed. Samples left overnight or outside proper storage conditions become unusable for testing, which will require you to being a new sample and will delay your pet’s diagnosis and care. All samples MUST be handed directly to our team during regular business hours.

🕒 **Please remember we are closed every other Saturday…which means we cannot always accept samples on Saturdays. Please call the office prior to bringing a sample on a Saturday to make sure we are able to process samples.**

If you’re unsure when you can bring a sample or how to store it until your visit, feel free to call us for guidance-we’re happy to help!

Thank you for helping us provide the best care for your pets. 🐾

WELCOME TO THE LAMBS GAP FAMILY, DR. WILSON!!🐾❤

We are excited to announce that Dr. Samantha Wilson will be joining the Lambs Gap Animal Hospital family this summer!

Dr. Wilson is a Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania native who traveled down south to Tennessee for her education. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. After all that travel, she realized there’s truly nothing better than being close to home and helping the community where she grew up. She has been surrounded by animals her entire life, and was inspired to become a veterinarian by her mom’s love for animals, who started a rescue called Worthy Tails around 20 years ago. As a new graduate veterinarian, she is excited to explore her clinical interests while caring for pets and building strong, trusting relationships with their families. She is passionate about supporting the human–animal bond, educating clients, and helping pets enjoy a healthy, happy quality of life for as long as possible. Her foxhound mix, Rex, has been her loyal sidekick for the past seven years. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys staying active with fitness and yoga, reading a good book, exploring new places, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Although we have been unable to accept new clients for almost a year….we are happy to announce that Dr. Wilson will be accepting new clients this summer.
