We want to make sure your pet stays safe! You may have heard that Wedgewood Pharmacy recently issued a voluntary recall on some of their compounded medications. If you fill your pet’s compounded prescriptions directly through us, your medication is completely unaffected and safe to use. However, if you choose to use Chewy for your pet's compounded formulas, those medications may be impacted, so we recommend checking your lot number on the Wedgewood Recall Lookup page.

Pet owners: Check your animal’s medication‼️A recall affects certain compounded drugs that could contain too much or too little medication. Here’s what to look for and what to do if your animal’s medication is affected: http://www.newscentermaine.com/article/news/nation-world/certain-pet-medications-recalled-inconsistencies-in-potency/507-12b27e08-907b-4f14-8ee5-d8c4a95a9bf3?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_NEWS_CENTER_Maine

Deaf dogs are more common than most people realize, and many look and act no different than any other dog. Hearing loss can be present from birth or develop gradually with age, and certain breeds, including Dalmatians, Australian Shepherds, and some terriers, are more likely to be born at least partially deaf.

Watch for signs like not responding to their name, sleeping more deeply than usual, or startling easily. When approached with guided training and meaningful adjustments to care, you can create a safe environment where they can be happy, safe, and at peace.
