This summer will be 7 years of Across Town Farm in Saxapahaw.

Our annual graduation party has become a way of celebrating our wonderful group of customers and mostly, our graduating seniors.

We have been so lucky to have the best mix of teenagers and college students throughout the past couple of years and this year we celebrated Jessica Stamatakis’s high school graduation as she heads to the University of South Carolina and Gwen Valvano’s graduation from Elon University.

We are looking forward to finishing out a fun summer of showing before Jess and Gwen head off to their next adventures!

Congratulations to Annie Schroder on her lease of "Konan Z!" and thank you to Trainer, Cali Bowman for pairing these two!

Annie and Konan already kicked off their partnership with some ribbons in big company over the weekend in Tryon. 🏆

Thank you to the Bartee Family for allowing us to find Konan his next kid and to Sonja Boorman at Timberwagon Farm for always providing the cushiest landing for lease horses in between jobs and for helping to facilitate his next adventure!

👑Briar Rose - 🥇 in the Walk Trot on Saturday with Brooke Stoekel and took Brooke around her first Walk Trot Canter class!

🌌 Orion’s Star - Debuted at his first rated show and ticketed amongst the chaos and crowded schooling areas like a star with his junior rider/owner Claire Stoekel.

Over the last few months, we found ourselves frustrated with our current feeding program for a variety of reasons. As everyone knows, the cost of quality grain and hay is astronomical right now. So, when you're feeding what you're told is the best and the horses aren't looking or going like what you want, you begin to ask why.

Huge thanks to our vets who helped us connect with Legacy Equine Nutrition and Rachel Mottet. Rachel has helped us change not just what we are feeding but the way that we were feeding it to find a new program that seems to be working better for the horses. We are also thrilled with our transition to Hallway Feed thanks to Doreen Sullivan-Durr.

It seems that we have other friends who are in the same position so please feel free to shoot us a message if want to connect with Rachel for any nutrition assistance. Well worth the money for all of the amazing information that we received!

Aiken Spring Finale 🌟 🏆

🐻 “Cesandro” and Allie Robards Champion for the 2nd week in the Younger Children’s to finish as Circuit Champion

🤔 “Oneder Boy” and Nick finished as Champions of the 1.15 and finished 8th in the Welcome.

🎲 “High Roller” and Hailey Johnson Reserve Champion 1.0 Amateur Jumpers to finish as Circuit Champion of the 1.0 Amateurs in a combined effort with owner, Ashley Simon

🧇 “Wrozbita” and Julia Stamatakis🥇in the 1.0 Juniors and🥇 in the Classic of the 1.0 Junior Jumpers

⚔️ “Conquest” and Nick Stewart 🥇 in thr 3’6 Greens and Green Incentive to finish as Reserve Champion in the 3’6 Greens. Jessica and Quest finished 5th out of 19 in the Junior/Amateur section of the National Derby and had good ribbons in the 3’3 Older Juniors for 5th in the combined Classic

🇺🇸 “Liberty” stepped back up to the 1.20 with Gwen Valvano and had good ribbons in the division with a 5th in the Classic

We are so proud of Lilly Schmitt who was awarded the Jumper Style Award by the judges for her performance in both the 1.0 and 1.10 Junior Jumper divisions on Nefriet EBZ and Oneder Boy. Lilly was unfortunately not present for this surprise award presentation, so we were honored to accept on her behalf.

Lilly has worked so hard over the past 2.5 years that she has been with us through patiently working her way up the levels, rehabbing horses and understanding that it’s always a process to get where you want to be! She is an excellent student, puts the horses first and always comes to the ring with a positive attitude.

Lilly we are so proud of the rider you have become and to be a part of your journey! Congratulations on being the 2026 recipient of the Aiken Spring Classic Jumper Style Award!

Best week at Aiken Spring Classic! So many new partnerships kicking things off, beautiful weather and lots of blue ribbons!

⭐️ Cesandro and Allie Robards started their partnership with a Reserve Champion in the 12-14 and Champion in the Younger Children’s with a win in the Classic.
⭐️ High Roller and Ashley Simon were Champion in the 1.0 Amateurs (thank you to Hailey Johnson for piloting Rollo in the first Amateur class of the weekend,) and won the combined 1.0 Junior/Am Classic. They also took the win in the Bryan Jones Medal!
⭐️ Wrozbita and Julia Stamatakis started their partnership with the Reserve Champion in the 1.0 Junior Amateurs in Julia’s first visit to jumper land!
⭐️ My Wingman and Lauren Trembath had a win in the 3’3 USHA Hunt Seat Medal and also won the Handy in the 3’3 Large Juniors.
⭐️ Liberty and Gwen Valvano had top ribbons in the 1.10 Amateurs with a 5th in the Classic.
⭐️ Nefriet EBZ and Lily Schmitt wrapped up their partnership together with good ribbons in the 1.0 Junior Jumpers.
⭐️ Winterfell and Sonja Boorman had ribbons out of 20 impressive Low Adult horses at their most consistent horse show yet!
⭐️ Conquest and Jessica Stamatakis had their first show together with top ribbons in the 3’3 Large Juniors including a 5th in the combined Classic out of 20.
⭐️ Oneder Boy jumped clean in the first round of his first Welcome Stake with Nick for 8th and then had top ribbons in the 1.10 Juniors with Lily Schmitt, taking her around the 1.10 for her very first time!

Congratulations to Lily Schmitt on her lease of Across Town Farm’s “Oneder Boy.”  These two stepped right up to the plate with great ribbons in the 1.10 Juniors with only one lesson under their belt prior!  The sky is the limit with this one, and we can’t wait to watch this team develop!
