Our sweet boy Teddy made some incredible progress today in overcoming his fear of getting into cars! It’s been heartbreaking to watch such a wonderful dog struggle with this anxiety, especially when it has caused potential adoptions to fall through. But thanks to one of our amazing volunteers, Teddy has been learning that cars aren’t quite as scary as they seem.

With all the progress Teddy has made, we decided to challenge him a little further by introducing him to a different car than the one he’s used to. With plenty of patience, lots of chicken and even more “good boys”, Teddy made a huge step forward! He got his front paws into the car, eventually settled all the way into the passenger seat of the car and even felt safe enough to sit down on his own! 🥹🐾 A huge thank you to our incredible volunteer for dedicating so much time, patience and love to helping Teddy build his confidence.

Every little victory brings him one step closer to finding the loving forever home he deserves, we’re rooting for you Teddy! 🚙💙
