✨ Puppy Update! ✨

Our Rebel × Dixie litter will be 6 weeks old this Wednesday and they are growing into some absolutely beautiful pups.

We will have ✨ THREE GIRLS AVAILABLE ✨ from this litter. All puppies will have long coats, and we expect them to have excellent prey drive, great on/off switches, and eager-to-please personalities—making them wonderful family companions and hunting partners.

This pairing is one of our favorites and we loved this litter so much we kept one pup for ourselves!

These sweet girls from our Rebel × Dixie litter are looking for their families!

This has been one of our favorite pairings and the puppies are already showing wonderful personalities and beautiful structure. All puppies from this litter will have longer wire coats.

We loved this litter so much that we decided to keep one puppy ourselves, but we still have a few girls available.

I’ve been getting this question a lot lately, so this post is for educational purposes.

The puppy on the left is 2 days old, and the puppy on the right is 6 weeks old.
All GWP puppies are born white with very dark brown (liver) markings.

As they grow, their coats begin to change—sometimes dramatically. Over the next several weeks and even months, ticking develops, roaning increases, and the colors deepen and darken.

All Bingham Kennels puppies are liver and roan, which is the coloring you see on the puppy to the right. Liver and roan is the breed standard for German Wirehaired Pointers.

Coat color is strongly influenced by genetics from both parents, and every puppy develops at its own pace. Many people are surprised to learn that puppies are born “white and brown,” but rest assured—their coats will change, ticking will appear, and those beautiful roan patterns will come in with time.

Watching the transformation is one of our favorite parts of raising these pups 🐶✨
